“Lovely fresh food”
Reviewed 30 June 2013

We ate here both nights we spent in Les Baux. I had the daily special on both days - the cod with aioli one day and an Italian salad the next. Both were nicely presented, very generous servings with lots of fresh vegetables/ salads. I enjoyed both very much. My husband had the chicken Caesar salad on both days and said it was among the best he had ever had. Our daughter really enjoyed her kids meal. Friendly service. Great dining for families.

“Nice view, good food and service”
Reviewed 22 March 2013

We really enjoyed this restaurant near the entrance to historic city of Les Baux. It is part of a hotel and is on the right side of the street as you enter the city. We were there in early March so Les Baux wasn't buzzing with activity so we asked a couple of "locals" what they thought of the restaurant and they suggested it was a good value.

We started our meal with bread and pumpkin soup. We loved the pumpkin soup! It was very flavorful and unique. I had escargot and a casserole followed by steak which was very flavorful. My wife had fish with a creamy garlic sauce. In this case, the garlic sauce was a bit too much overpowering the fish particularly at the end of the dish.

Our children had the steak (what we call hamburgers in the US) children's meals. Their meals included a salad, sandwich, french fries and dessert. I tasted their sandwich, fries and dessert and all were quite good. The pricing for the kids' meals was very reasonable. It was also nice that the restaurant served our kids first which satisfied their hunger and gave us more time to savor our meal.

We were seated at a window table looking out over the scenic valley and at the other mountains nearby. It was a very nice setting.

The service was friendly and attentive. Overall, the experience was a good one for us and we would return if in Les Baux.

“Great lunch”
Reviewed 30 July 2012

Liked the smily speedy and chatty service, the cooling water spray , the plat du jour (aioli) , not rushing us when we finished in spite of having a large terrace table

“A decent spot for lunch”
Reviewed 19 July 2012

This is a great spot to grab lunch when visiting Les Baux, particularly on a hot day. The terrace has a large number of tables under umbrellas offering shade as well as a misting system which gently sprays every minute or so.

The restaurant offers several lunch specials (aioli, a very tasty melon, tomato and sliced ham dish as well as pork prepared in a mustard sauce the day we visited) for €13. A dessert can be added for just €3 more.

We found the service to be most polite and efficient which resulted in a most enjoyable and refreshing meal on what was a very hot day.

“Fly in food”
Reviewed 20 June 2012

We found a fly in the food, which was to our horror because we were almost done with the course. To begin with food was quite average. The waiter suggested that the fly dropped into the food, which in our opinion was ridiculous as the fly was cooked and serenaded in the olive oil.
