A warm lovely welcome by owners and lovely fresh loaf and blue eggs on arrival.
We had an amazing relaxed stay. If you like fishing, walking and peace and quiet this is defo a place to stay.
Land and cottage are amazing owners are lovely and pet friendly which is great for our pet dog.
Looking forward to our stay again this month :)
We loved the cottage! The owners are very friendly and we received a warm welcome. Thank you for the delicious home made bread and the eggs! Peaceful location, great place to relax and unwind with places to eat/shop within easy reach. Would definitely recommend and would love to return for another stay.
I booked up one night at the last minute at Lake View Cottage for myself and two of my adult children. We were given a wonderfully warm welcome from the start with fresh eggs, homemade bread, juice and crisps as well as a tour of the cottage and grounds. The cottage is warm, comfortable and immaculately clean. The view over the tranquil lake is splendid and there are hens and wildfowl pottering about the vast lawn.
This cottage suits all ages. We had a great time playing table tennis and pool, wandering with our dog around the grounds and venturing to the local pub just a 15 minute walk away.
A huge thank you to Jean and Brian for making our stay so memorable. We would love to return!
We had a great stay at Lakeview, myself wife and dogs all enjoyed the walks and surroundings, the property was lovely clean and very spacious. The fishing on my own private lake was excellent and the fish were in great condition. Jeans fresh bread was wonderful extra, we even took a loaf home with us.
We will definitely being going again.
Fantastic six day break staying in Lake View Cottage, the self catering accommodation at Kiln Farm, that sleeps four (or six with the two berth caravan next to the back garden).
The owners, Jean and Brian, could not have been warmer or more welcoming and helpful. A personal greeting letter awaited us in the lounge, and on the kitchen table, a bottle of wine, delicious family sized homemade quiche, loaf of fresh home baked bread, and half dozen fresh eggs from the farm's own hens which roam freely throughout the extensive grounds.
The cottage is light, airy and tastefully & comfortably decorated. At the rear is a large double room with en suite shower/WC and patio doors overlooking the garden, grounds and lake.
The lounge, which will comfortably seat five, shares the same delightful view and also has patio doors out to the rear garden. The kitchen at the front of the property opens from the lounge, and is equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, and sufficient cookware for most holiday requirements.
The other two rooms at the front are a decent sized twin room with the family bathroom opposite. Televisions in both bedrooms as well as the lounge, and a wide choice of DVDs.
The grounds include a small lake with jetty and summerhouse, and a four hole pitch and putt golf course (clubs provided). Various out buildings provide the following additional activities - pool table, foosball (table football), table tennis, and darts.
One of the converted Nissen huts also contains a barbecue and variety of lawn funiture.
Homemade bread and extremely tasty fresh eggs (during laying season) available daily at very reasonable prices.
This was my first visit, but the fifth time for my parents. It is practically the only place in their 70+ years where they have stayed more than once - high praise indeed! I shall definitely be returning as well.
Welcome was second to none by the owners Jean and Brian
The property had everything you needed to make your stay comfortable
A good place to go from to visit other parts of Suffolk
We also had fantastic weather which always helps.
