Great location, NICE room!! The place has some age (which is lovely) so also character. Great pub and restaurant is part of the premises. But the best part is Jeff and Sue - the owners. We felt we were staying with friends rather than a business. They gave us great local insight, history, and things to do - our own concierge service. I suggest the play and dinner package for a bit more money but well worth it. We had dinner and it and the breakfasts were fabulous. GREAT VALUE AND FUN!!!!

My husband and I just came back from Gananoque where we celebrated my birthday. This gem is in a great location and the innkeepers are very warm and friendly. It is close to the waterfront and the marina and easy walk to the village. Breakfast was excellent, the bedroom (we stayed in the Loft) was very clean and the king size bed was extremely comfortable. We had a few drinks at their pub prior to dinner and the bartender was very funny and engaging. My husband quite enjoyed the local beer and the food that was served looked amazing. We had dinner reservation somewhere else but I told myself that the next time we visit, the Stonewater Pub will be our dinner destination. I am planning on returning with our daughter for a daughter-mother weekend in the very near future.

Room Tip: Great view of the harbour.

This friendly B and B truly has the best view in Gananoque. We found the room spotless, comfortable, and spacious, and the breakfast hearty. The pub serves delicious food (with gluten-free options), and has live music and a great atmosphere. Tripadvisor reviewers helped us find this beautiful, cozy place that deserves all the praise it gets. Thanks to the Girlings for a lovely, care-free stay.

Room Tip: If you don't mind stairs, the Loft room is the one with the great view, but all rooms beautifull...

We stopped at this B&B to break up a long drive and perhaps see a bit of the area. The weather was too bad to do much so we just enjoyed this charming place. We had a third floor room that was huge with a great view of the water. A plus was the attached pub, also owned by the B&B owners. Great food and selection of local beers. Breakfast was great and the owners charming. If you go and choose the third floor loft room,be prepared for three flights of stairs. A really neat place to stay.

It was a fairly random last-minute weekend getaway, but now it's a destination. Stonewater is in a beautiful old home, tastefully and comfortably decorated. We stayed in the Webster Suite simply because that was what was available, but I think we'd choose it when we come back. It's really a small apartment, with bedroom (king-sized bed), large bathroom (w huge tub), small kitchen and living room (great view of the river). There were DVDs, games and a few books available in the room. The bed was super comfortable. The whole was super clean. The gorgeous old baseboards, windows and high ceilings were accented with comfortable modern furniture plus a few antiques. Breakfast was generous and delicious, with fruit and juice followed by various choices of main (I had a yummy veg & bacon omelet, husband had French toast w strawberries and whipped cream). No lunch necessary after that! When we arrived yesterday, we went to the Gastro Pub below the B&B, where husband sampled a local brew (Naughty Otter Lager) while we listened to a Celtic trio practise for the Playhouse later that evening. We went back to the Pub for a superb dinner (baked brie to share as an app, then baked salmon fillet on pasta w goat cheese for him and roasted lamb shank with blueberry sauce, mashed potatoes w spinach and grilled veg for me), and later Sue was able to find us room in the pub to listen to the music and humour of Roger James. We didn't go further afield this time, but when we come back we'll know that the Playhouse and downtown are both within walking distance. And we will come back!

Room Tip: We quite liked the Webster Suite. It's nice to have the bedroom and living room separated by a h...

Thank you so much for coming to visit us over the past weekend. We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay....it was a great weekend to be here, with the Celtic players practicing in the afternoon and Roger here Saturday night. We hope that you will come back in the summer and enjoy one of our theatre package deals.

R&R +! We had a great weekend, staying in the interesting, very comfortable, set-up in the loft with the best towels we've had in a long time. The view over the river as we sat in our comfortable chairs, sipping (?), watching the ice fisherman was relaxing. The breakfasts were great and Jeff & Sue were lovely The gastro pub immediately next door had really good food with a nice ambiance. We walked to the nearby Playhouse for a show and explored downtown with its lovely buildings and found a great coffee/lunch spot at the Socialist Pig. A lovely, highly recommended getaway.

If you knew my mother you would understand. She is the best cook in the world and makes everyone feel like they are family. Well the Stonewater Manor B&B is every bit as good (sorry mom) We booked the loft which has a character all its own plus a beautiful view of the 1000 Islands.

Breakfasts at the Cafe and dinner at the Gastro Pub plus 2 tickets to the Thousand Island Playhouse were inclusive in the price and was very reasonable. The meals are 2nd to none, the Eggs Benni had a different twist with a Cajun cheese sauce and peameal bacon with a light batter and then deep fried to perfection.
Sue and Jeff, thank you for your warm and cheerful personalities as well as all your staff. We will definitely be back again!

Brian and Pam
