Description: Using local ingredients where ever possible our talented chef creates regionally-inspired seasonal menus for Watermark Restaurant. We believe in using quality ingredients including fresh herbs harvested daily from our on-site garden. Watermark Restaurant also features international vintages and a large selection of Ontario VQA Wines from Prince Edward County and the Niagara District. In addition, the restaurant's waterfront terrace boasts one of the best views in the 1000 Islands region, making it the ideal place to enjoy expertly prepared fare.

We were out for a drive along the St Lawrence and decided to find somewhere in Gananoque for dinner. The Gananoque Inn was indeed a surprise. We had noticed the posted menu with starter, main and dessert outside and were attracted to the choice of rack of lamb and duck. However when we sat down this was not the menu that was presented, the posted menu is only available certain days, after the waitress consulted with the chef he offered to cook anything that we had seen posted.
The rack of lamb was incredible and my wife thoroughly anjoyed the duck, our table also enjoyed the steak. This was indeed a great meal, fresh white tablecloths, nicely decorated table, friendly staff and a great view, the dessert was delicious with basil and chocolate. My only disapointment was my coffee served in a mug very much like a donut shop. However we will return for a dinner playhouse package.

We enjoyed wonderful service and a nice breakfast in the dining room.

The staff were most appreciative, the menu selection was wonderful, well prepared. (Toast a little hard).

You can't beat the sun streaming in to the room while enjoying the amazing vista of the 1000 Islands.

The Watermark restaurant is located inside the Gananoque Inn of the same named city.
There is ample free parking right across the road and it's only steps to the waterfront.
Dinner and breakfast were part of our "Spring getaway" package, so we honestly weren't expecting anything great. --Wrong!-- Dinner was wonderful and comparable to finer Montreal restaurants, the setting, overlooking the waterfront, superb and our waitress Natasha was informative, efficient and very personable. Breakfast was a repeat performance of the evening with Natasha there again for us :).
Great restaurant part of a great Inn
Highly recommend!

We were celebrating a friend's birthday and wanted to treat her to a country drive and lunch with a water view, so we chose The Gananoque Inn. As vegetarian, I knew from the menu outside the choices were limited to 2 appetizers and 2 salads.

The service was great and the food very good. One of our party ordered ribs as an appetizer and pronounced them delicious. This was followed by good fish and chips.

My friend and I ordered the brie appetizer and the winter salad. Both were very very good.

Two slight disappointments for me were the whisky sour, which was emerald green, and the baked ice cream dessert. This was fried cornflakes spread over a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The chocolate sauce and raspberries fancied it up a bit, but the taste was definitely reminiscent of breakfast.

This is a fun place to dine in the summer when we can sit even closer the water on the large deck.

A bit of a landmark for the area, open all year thankfully, with a great summer location, docking included. Meals well prepared from a basic menu but please stop serving "coated" french fries, no need to ruin a great place ,,,,they are awful! Thanks if you are listening...
