We stayed 2 nights in September 2017, having booked many months ago as part of our extended road trip in Canada... yes, it was the cheapest room, but nevertheless we were taken aback on arrival that it was so small and not ensuite (we had read 'Private Bathroom' to mean ensuite, - not a separate bathroom across the landing and down some steps! Our fault entirely. However, it worked out OK really, just a bit of a nuisance as I'm at an age where I need to get up to the loo a couple of times through the night, and having to use separate bulky keys when still half asleep and 'work' a rather clunky difficult bathroom lock was a nuisance . But having said all that... the hotel is charmingly quaint, our room was very quiet, bed very comfortable, everywhere very clean, the bathroom was indeed 'private' to us and was great. We had breakfast both mornings and to be honest it was really excellent value at $7 each (juice, fresh fruit bowls, cereal selection, bread selection and toaster, scrambled eggs/bacon/sausage and fried potatoes. We were first down to breakfast both mornings so everything was fresh and hot. The guy who did Breakfast (didn't get his name) was friendly and helpful.
Also would comment that the young guy (Calvin?) who checked us in on arrival was very helpful and recommended the Stonewater Pub for evening meals (we went both nights and it was really good). Only met the owner Jacques very briefly...
Great secluded carpark to side of hotel. So yes, we would stay again.
Gananoque is a lovely little town to walk around, selection of shops and we made a nice purchase in Woodleys Jewellers! And did the 1000 Island 5 Hr Cruise to Boldt Castle (fantastic).

Room Tip: Watch out - the cheapest room is not ensuite (but does have a great private bathroom across the landing...)

When one of the first things you see is ''the Restaurant is permanently closed'' and the 2nd or 3rd comment is ''I've been here for 28 years and looking to sell''
Then it's time to close up shop.
The accommodations were OK, small room, shower in the closet (imagine the size), the bed comfortable, the TV didn't work, good breakfast (addl. charge), all that at $160 + per night. The most disappointing was the total lack of interest by the owner. It wasn't that he was impolite, he just didn't care, couldn't be bothered and wished to be somewhere else.
It was very evident that the candle was out and it's out for us, since we wouldn't go back to the very quaint little town
, smack in the middle of the wondrous Thousand Islands of the St. Lawrence.
Too bad, maybe a new owner could rejuvenate this 19th century house

Room Tip: Wait a while, someone who likes people may decide to buy and revamp the place and offer a better welcome

This is thr second year we have stayed at Trinity. This year and last year were great - the rooms were comfortable, the breakfast superb and the gardens were wonderful for relaxing and sharing a glass of wine.

Room Tip: We stayed in 2different rooms both comfortable with their own ensuite.

We were very pleased with this Inn!
We were coming late due to a heavy traffic through Toronto and showed up at the hotel at almost 10 p.m. The owner still waited for us! It touched our hearts right away!
He showed us our room and all around and although was clearly tired was still very polite! (Thank you, if you are reading this note!)
The room and bathroom were very clean and so is the whole place.
They have a very nice charming patio and dining area.
Breakfast was served in the morning and was delicious!
We heard that the place doesn't offer dinning anymore and we were upset about that. It is a very charming old traditional place - not many are left around unfortunately. But... Please! Let the tradition going!

If ever travelling back - we now know the place to stay!
