The Gananoque Inn is a charming building with a lot of history and a wonderful view on the river. Located off the lobby, Muskie Jake's Tap and Grill where we had lunch before the cruise was a great disappointment. This charmless restaurant looks like a corner eatery with oil cloth covered tables and mismatched chairs. Even the lovely view could not compensate for the less than mediocre food and indifferent service.

A friend and I recently had lunch on the patio of this restaurant at The Gananoque Inn. The view is beautiful, with the Gananoque Thousand Island tour boats coming and going. However, we could have been a lot more comfortable. The seats on the patio are just about as uncomfortable as it gets. While the food was tasty, the portions were small and our meals were quite expensive considering what we got. I doubt that we will return again this summer.

A nice patio with a limited pub food menu, but it was wing nite (Monday) so we ordered a few different kinds and the were quite good; flavourful, good size, cooked nicely, not dried out. Should of ended our night there, instead ordered two desserts. Apple crumble served in a very small side dish bowl with a tiny scoop of ice cream. Strawberry sorbet was melted and soupy when served. When I pointed this out to the server, received an offer of another sorbet, but we declined as the mosquitoes on the patio were getting quite ferocious and no guarantee the replacement would be any better. No offer to deduct the soupy sorbet from the bill. Overall an average restaurant experience.

Very limited pub style menu. Daily special extremely well priced. Partial water view from deck. A decent place for a quick meal before hitting the playhouse which is only 1 4 minute walk away.

The restaurant is on the water, great view, quick service, good food and helpful waitstaff. The kids menu was a bit lacking.
