We stayed here at the beginning and end of our Canadian vacation to New Brunswick, PEI., and Nova Scotia. We were in the Sunrise building, which overlooked The Bay of Fundy. The room was clean, neatly furnished. It looked like a log cabin inside and was equipped with kitchen utensils, dishes, coffee pot, etc, for a long self catering stay. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was small, you could hear your neighbors, especially the ones on the second floor. Every unit had a porch and chairs, and the Bay of Fundy tides did not disappoint. A few good restaurants were a short drive away and a small food market was in the center of town. Basically a really nice place to stay, especially for a longer period of time. Would stay there again.

Spent a lovely few days in corner suite at end of season. Nice place. Nice people. Nice stay. One day the flower box went from window sill. Next day the screen door went from threshold. Then, sigh, we went after bow of gratitude to the gemütlich environment. We, like flowers, tide, and screen door, will happily return.

We booked into the Seaside late in the afternoon just before Canadian Thanksgiving. Our host was pleasant and knowledgeable about the place and its history. Our two bedroom unit on the water was such a delight that we decided to stay an extra night. The unit was very clean. The furnishings were rustic to the right degree, and the kitchen was well stocked. Our unit had a very large deck with a great view. As well, the one bedroom had two walls of windows, so enjoyed the same views as the deck. The location was ideal for exploring. We changed our travel plans to stay an extra night. As it was Thanksgiving and most rooms were fully booked, we needed to move to another unit, this one upstairs. It was equally clean and featured a bay window and a small snug child's room next to the main bedroom. Seaside Beach Resort was one of our favourite spots in a three week trip.

Room Tip: The two bedroom closet to the water with the large deck has great views.

We stayed at the Seaside Beach Resort this past weekend. It is close to town which was very important to us, as we were taking in the food and wine festival. We stayed in the Sunrise Suite. It was a very comfortable housekeeping unit, complete with all the amenities. We had a nice little sitting area outside our unit with a beautiful view of the water. The price was very affordable for St. Andrews at $100.00 a night. This is off season so it is a little cheaper. The owner was very friendly and the unit was very well kept and very clean.

This portion of an old house was set up for housekeeping, so was missing a few things like Kleenex, bar soap, shampoo, etc, BUT

It was very clean and spacious, had a fully equipped kitchen (no paper towels), and gorgeous views of the Fundy Bay.

If you go, ask the innkeeper to show you his trunk handles. He makes them himself out of twine; they're beautiful.

I stayed here for 1 night with a couple of friends in early October. The 3 of us stayed in the Seagull cottage which was perfect! The cottage was small, but there was plenty of room for us. It also had a large deck that is literally on the beach! The tides come right up to the deck of the cottage.
Although we did not have an issue, I could see how travelling sounds from other units could be a problem. The owner does have a note posted in the cottages to try and prevent any noise issues.
The resort was clean, comfortable and a very short walk to town!

Like other reviews we found Sandpiper Cottage small but very good, reasonably priced and wonderfully situated. We had a direct view of the harbour, could sit on the small deck or down on the seaside chairs. Yes it is a small cabin, but if is well equipped and where else could you sit right on the harbour, wander the lawn (and play horseshoes) and watch the sun go down over the sea for such a reasonable price. Would return for sure.
