We like travel off the beaten path and struck gold with Eastern Outdoors. Before travel we carried on an extensive e-mail conversation about our group and our preferences. Eastern Outdoors tailored the excursion to fit our abilities and interests perfectly, including a wonderful homemade lunch of fresh-caught lobster. (Complete with lobster-cracking lessons for us land-lubbers.) Our host was friendly and knowledgable about the local area and history and showed us interesting sites on the way to and from the beachhouse site where we went kayaking in beautiful Dipper Harbor. While other cruise ship passengers were shunted around in massive crowds, we enjoyed professional one-on-one instruction and conversation with our guide. It really made our trip!
