Eight years ago my parents visited a bed and breakfast on Vancouver Island that they came home raving about.
That B&B was Eagles Landing. It took us a while to visit Canada but we managed it this year and luckily there were vacancies at Eagles Landing for the dates we were on Vancouver Island.
We followed the directions sent to us by Jim and had no problem finding our way. On arrival we were greeted with tea and biscuits and one of the friendliest couples we have ever met ( and the best cup if tea we had over our 3 week stay in Canada.)
The setting is stunning and we feel would be hard to beat, the breakfasts were unbelievable, but what we were really surprised about was how Jim & Ann invited us to join them in an evening to chat and watch the sunset.
How kind of them to give up their time to socialise and share there knowledge of Canada. In short we can not fault Eagles Landing and all we can say if you get the chance to visit We're sure you will not be disappointed. Jim & Ann please continue doing what you do so well !!!!!!!!!!!!
Many thanks once again.
Sue & Paul Thompson

Our family stayed with Jim and Anne for the second summer in what will hopefully be an annual break, we had the loft room again and it was very comfortable for all four of us, and private as well. As before we loved the breakfasts which were different every day and always filled us up for the day ahead. We really felt at home here and enjoyed the walk down to the beach whenever we could, usually accompanied by Lucy the dog who is adored by the kids. The view from the main house is amazing and perfect to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. Could not be better.

James and Anne made us feel so comfortable in their home. We are planning a return next month and can't wait to see our new friends and have some great conversations. Breakfasts are fabulous and they cater to any diet concerns you may have. Great spot to have a glass of wine (or two) on the back deck overlooking the sea after a busy day sightseeing. Looking forward to our return.

We spent two nights in June 2014 here and were impressed by the magnificent view from our room, the spacious accommodations and the friendly atmosphere. Anne and Jim were perfect hosts making us feel welcome in their home but ensuring that we had the privacy we value. We were able to take several easy day trips to surrounding attractions and spectacular beaches and return to have a picnic meal on our private deck. Just walking around the property with its fantastic trees and opportunities for bird watching would make this a five star experience. But there was so much more. We loved the panoramic view of the strait and being able to see Denman Island and watch the cruise ships passing at night. The breakfasts were incredible and we watched a bald eagle land in a nearby tree. Thanks to Lucy for leading us on a long walk in the woods.

Room Tip: We loved the room in the main house with the private deck and spectacular views.

Myself and my family went back to stay with Jim and Anne again. We stayed in the loft suite which is ideal for families. The kids loved the taking Lucy down to the beach in the mornings. A great way to work off the wonderful breakfasts. This is our second time staying there and it really does feel like we are going back to stay with old friends. They make us feel so welcome and nothing is too much trouble. We will be back again next year for sure.
