Description: When was the last time you walked into a room that wasn’t square? True, it would have been easier to rebuild than restore an old building. Chances are, you’d be sitting in a square room with much higher ceilings. But Qualicum would be missing a little bit of the past. A place that represents memories for families and friends that stretch back over three generations. Have a look at the floors, the ceilings, the pillars, and beams… and you’ll see why we appreciate all the designers and builders who helped restore a piece of the past and create this unique, round room and wedge-shaped lounge. Handcrafted food is our passion and seasonality plays a dynamic role in our menu. We take pride in serving delicious food done right, from preparing all of our meats in-house to making all of our own sauces. Working with fresh seasonal ingredients allows the natural flavors of the food to shine through each dish. We can taste the difference and we hope you can too!

The restaurant is beautifully designed. The fish was well cooked, but had a slight ammonia smell and taste. The medallion potatoes were heavy but interesting. Since I have a garlic allergy, I got dry coleslaw ...from a bag?...on my plate. No attempt to do something else. Other diners' plates looked good. Service was mediocre, not bad. I expect they will get a bit better with experience. Value? Overall I paid $15 for a piece of fish that didn't taste great.

Thank qbc

We have been there two times and on both occasions food is very good portions generous. The staff and service is excellent. The view of the ocean is second to none. We have no hesitation in recommending it to others. Kent and Eileen

This is such a trendy but comfortable restaurant, it’s hard to remember you are on Vancouver Island. It could be South Beach (without the noise); Malibu (without the snobbery) or the Riviera (in English.)

This beachfront motel has been transformed, millions of dollars, say the locals. But the dining experience is great. The food is really wonderful – we shared tapas of local seafood – all while sitting outside along a glass-paneled patio. The water is right across the street, so there are no obstructions to the view.

The restaurant had been open just recently, but there were no glitches. Judging by the crowd, it is going to be a popular place so reservations are necessary.

This recently renovated Restaurant was a delight to enter with it's new decor, views of Qualicum Bay, and update atmosphere. This was a ladies late lunch/early dinner treat and we opted to order from the Tapas menu as it was available until 4 p.m. The order was Asparagus wrapped in Prosciutto ham, Shrimp in sauce, various cheeses appetizer size grilled cheese sandwich bites, Zucchini mandolin cut and rolled with a Balsamic reduction and chopped nut pieces sauce. Each dish was so tasty it was positively sinful and a real titillation for the taste buds. Added to this a very large pot of Raspberry tea..... what a treat it all was. This was followed with Creme Brulee, which just topped off this delightful meal. The waiter was courteous and ready to explain the various dishes and recommend one or two that were staff favourites. All in all a great Saturday afternoon experience and they can be very sure we will be back. Thank you..
