Description: When was the last time you walked into a room that wasn’t square? True, it would have been easier to rebuild than restore an old building. Chances are, you’d be sitting in a square room with much higher ceilings. But Qualicum would be missing a little bit of the past. A place that represents memories for families and friends that stretch back over three generations. Have a look at the floors, the ceilings, the pillars, and beams… and you’ll see why we appreciate all the designers and builders who helped restore a piece of the past and create this unique, round room and wedge-shaped lounge. Handcrafted food is our passion and seasonality plays a dynamic role in our menu. We take pride in serving delicious food done right, from preparing all of our meats in-house to making all of our own sauces. Working with fresh seasonal ingredients allows the natural flavors of the food to shine through each dish. We can taste the difference and we hope you can too!

Great service from the waiters, Tappas were great, both of our main course meals were very poor. I could not recommend this place to anyone wanting a decent meal. If they have a chef, the person must of won their ticket in a lottery. What a shame for The Qualicum Inn to have a cook like that on staff.his

We were very excited to go for our first lunch after opening of the Qualicum Beach Inn, but what a disappointment. They may want to get a chef in there that can cook. The food was beyond bad, do not waist your money. It is really to bad that they could not have opened with fully trained staff (that are friendly) and amazing food, neither happened. The staff were dazed and confused and the food was terrible. Only go for the view and a drink, do not eat!!!!

The recently re-opened Qualicum Beach Inn was well worth the wait. Having gone through early growing pains and the on set of guests that had been patiently waiting during the long renovation period the restaurant seems to be running smoothly now. On a rare rainy day we sat inside in a setting designed to be what I can only describe as modern 50's decor. They pulled it off ! I chose the chefs special that evening, Beef Stroganoff unlike any I have had before. Our meal was excellent, our service good and how can you beat the view over looking the bay.

Have been twice now and the food has been great. Sat outside in the patio area and really enjoyed ourselves. So great that qualicum has this great new resturaunt. Nice to be in the presence of a younger generation and boutique type atmosphere ! Will be going again.

The restaurant is beautifully designed. The fish was well cooked, but had a slight ammonia smell and taste. The medallion potatoes were heavy but interesting. Since I have a garlic allergy, I got dry coleslaw ...from a bag?...on my plate. No attempt to do something else. Other diners' plates looked good. Service was mediocre, not bad. I expect they will get a bit better with experience. Value? Overall I paid $15 for a piece of fish that didn't taste great.
