Difficult to get to - road was closed, but somehow, we found it. We were the only ones there. Very pretty. This was the first place we saw chairs colorfully painted as GOOSE!

We travelled from Thunder Bay to Wawa and after having supper we decided to see the High Falls near the motel. The ride on gravel was well worth the view!

Very pretty falls reached after driving through fields of blueberries. The road is patchy and rough but worth the drive in. Covered spot for picnics is great for a rest stop. In the fall you can watch salmon jumping here.

The falls are very nice and you can get close up for great pictures. Not to far from the main highway.

My husband wasn't too happy when our paved road turned to dirt but he continued anyway. It took several minutes to get to the falls but they were very pretty, and worth the dirt road drive. I think I saw the walkway to the top but think that was where we saw the signs not to go any further. The water is dam controlled and signs said the flow could change drastically at any time, without warning. So we stayed in the main viewing area and enjoyed what we saw. There was a covered picnic area and porta johns. On the return to the main road we had the pleasure of watching a young lynx in the road stalking something in the woods. We stopped and watched for probably 5 minutes. We tried to point it out to an oncoming car but they never saw it. The lynx was so fixed on what he was watching, he paid not attention to the car passing. So we saw two great sites on this side trip.
