“Great Place, Impossible to Find”
Reviewed 30 July 2014

This small park has great short walks to spectacular vistas of the ocean and some really nice beaches.

It's not very well used likely because the Canadians have decided not to make the entrances from the road! The best access is from Pike Road (no sign for the park on the main road). There's a viewpoint hike of a few miles from the parking lot that gives excellent views. And there's a beach with a bathroom that you can walk down to and swim if your inclined.

A great place to visit it you can find it! I'd recommend a good map or ask a local in Sooke.

Great trails, right off the ocean. Just a thing of beauty. It is a piece of heaven for sure. Take a break on the rocks and overlook to ocean while you are there.

“Beautiful hiking trails”
Reviewed 9 July 2014

This park is about an hour from Victoria; although I'm recovering from knee surgery, there was a small trail I was able to follow with a cane; accessible for older people and those with disabilities, although there are stairs to get to the beach. There was a wonderful view once arrived to the beach and well worth the albeit small hike. The Olympia mountain range is within view and on a sunny day it's absolutely stunning. Even with some drizzle rain this view is pretty spectacular. One of my favorite Canadian parks.

“Breathtaking!”

East Sooke Park is one of our favourite places to hike. We are locals here and frequent this park often! The trails and views are bar none for the Southern part of Vancouver Island!
