Location is beautiful - looking out over the sea with the snow-capped US mountains in view. Accommodation is more life a suite - bedroom, bathroom and sitting-room/kitchen. Breakfast made to order and served in suite (or out on the patio weather permitting). The owner was so hospitable - providing juice and snacks for our walks, loads of local info, etc.
There's a hot-tub and lovely gardens - full of hummingbirds, squirrels, rabbits and even a raccoon. Could easily spend a few days just relaxing there.

Thank you for your comments, you are very kind. I did notice that you would not recommend our location to a friend, I was wondering if this was a mistake or maybe you would like to keep it your little secret.

Thank you,
Jamie Lewis

We arrived early to Moonlit Cove to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary, our cottage wasn't ready yet. We had just biked 30 miles from downtown Victoria on our bikes. Kristine brought us a large glass of orange juice and we sat on her large deck overlooking the water. We rested and read our books and enjoyed the view while we waited. Our cottage was larger than expected, clean, and nicely decorated with a comfy cozy bed. The two person jaccuzi tub was enjoyed in privacy with a view of the water. Kristine drove us to the Fuse for our anniversary dinner which was close by but a long walk on a busy hwy. This was just one of the extra special touches she provides. We returned from our dinner ( she picked us up after a phone call ) to find chocolates , strawberries and port waiting on our table along with a beautiful bouquet. It was just perfect, she anticipates well what her patrons want. Breakfast was delivered to our room. Large portions and lots of variety with warm scones and muffins, fruit, yogurt an omlet and sausages. I had snacks to pack for the bike ride back to Victoria. Kristine presents the area well, making it easy to want to return for family functions ( she has accomodations for atleast 12), weddings, zip line, kayaking, beach combing and just relaxing. We can't wait to return with the kids.

We visited Sooke in late-May/early June 2010 on the way to Tofino and later Nanaimo. Sooke became one of the most memorable stops on our trip, not only because of its natural beauty, but also because of a very special place there - the Moonlit Cove Bed and Breakfast.

The cottages at Moonlit are cozy , quiet and beautifully appointed. The view from them is amazing. Christine is a wonderful host - she is gracious and lovely. She makes wonderful, hearty breakfasts and is so knowledgeable about Sooke and the Island - she gave us great reccomendations on where to visit and dine as well as driving directions to our next destination - which saved us a lot of time and hassle.

Sooke is a gem on the island and so is the Moonlit Cove B&B. We look forward to a return visit.

Yes, yes, a thousand times, yes!!! This was a beautiful, romantic experience for a bed and breakfast. When you're there, go to the Galloping Goose Trail...it is beautiful! The owners were wonderful to us and respected our privacy. I would highly recommend Sooke Ocean View for your romantic getaway.
