Wonderful walk through some gardens and then a splendid boardwalk over the ocean with interpretive signs.

What a great park!! It is totally wheelchair friendly. You can walk all the way to the docks, and then continue onto the dock. Amazing views of the Sooke Basin.

“Wonderful jewel for the community and visitors”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 May 2014

Ed MacGregor Park is the perfect place for people of all ages and mobility to enjoy. Extensive ramps lead you down to the oceanfront, placards provide information about flora and fauna. It was a delight to come to the open theatre and and garden, a very restful setting. This park could be used as a great example for other communities to use when designing boardwalks - it offers something for everyone.

“Hidden Gem”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 April 2014

We headed out from Victoria to get to the furthest western point to view a sunset over the Pacific or that was the plan. We got confused , caught in big city traffic for a small town and ended up in Ed's Park. What a great little secret in this part of Sooke. The site had old gates from a burnt down earlier famous visitors site and a bandstand , seats and then the walkway down to the water. This turned out to be a great find on our travels, the wife got some artistic sunset shots, we wandered along the waterfront and enjoyed the end of day ! A beer in hand would of made it complete I reckon !
