Having come here twice before and loved it we were looking forward to a third great experience. Not the case. When we arrived (around 1pm) we were totally ignored for a good 15 minutes... Two waitresses kept walking by without acknowledging any of the people at the front. The dining room was filled at maybe 25% max. The lady at the front desk was busy explaining the accommodations to other guests who "might" come to stay one day... No one said "we will be with you shortly" or anything. When we finally flagged one of the waitresses down she said abruptly that they needed to clean tables and that there were 4 other parties before us... She would let us know when she was ready for us. We waited for another 2 minutes but then decided it was not worth it to pay $30+ each for lunch and to be treated badly. We left! My average points on food and value are based on our previous visits. Too bad. Was a great place. :-(

We were in Sooke to bike part of the Galloping Goose Trail and went as a group of 6 to Point No Point for dinner one evening. As mentioned by many others - the ambiance, views, and 'feel' of the place are all lovely. It is cozy west coast with excellent food and service. Our meals were delicious. What more could one want?! Highly recommended.

This is an excellent restaurant on the Pacific Coast of Vancouver Island with splendid food, a lovely ambiance and great views. Even on a day when you could only see about a hundred metres through the fog, it was fascinating and ever-changing, thanks to the tide. The seafood chowder was delicious and rich and my croque monsieur out of this world - much better than in France!
It is a cosy place, with a fire, and very welcoming, as were the staff.

Well worth the nice drive out of Victoria to a beautiful little place overlooking the water. The lunch was superb. The great wait staff made us feel at home and the food was fresh and wonderfully prepared. Very good value for the quality and quantity.

With binoculars on the table, we watched the seals and sea lions make their way down the coast. Some appeared to stop and watch us. When driving there, be sure to stop at the Sooke Museum along the highway. Another highlight of our trip.

Well... here I was, expecting that all the hype about this place would be just that... hype. I mean, it's a half hour up the coast from anything (Sooke), out of cell coverage, in the reception building of a place with rustic ocean cabins, I figured, hey, the views will be nice.... but what kind of chef would have a job out here? Well. The meal was spectacular. No other way to describe it. From the fresh, local heirloom tomato salad, to the sensational halibut, to the clever and creative desserts.... it is truly worth the trip and the money. Wow. Seriously. I lived in NYC for a decade, and granted, the top restaurants there can boast better rooms and service I suppose... but the food here beats them all in my opinion. I have no idea how they pull it off, way out there, but they do. Just wow.
