White tables, candlelight and an oceanfront setting sets the scene for a memory here. You're seated with homemade bread and a tempting wine list. We loved the music--it soothed our traveler hearts and brought a smile to our faces. The Ploughman's Lunch appetizer featured three kinds of homemade salami (cherry, apricot were two ingredients), oil, grainy mustard, aged chedar, thin slices of grilled bread, plus pickled beans and onions. Wonderful. We had the beef with goat cheesecake, and the flash poached Albacore tuna. Both meat and fish were very well prepared and featured large portions and crispy vegetables. We both did feel like there was perhaps a bit too much going on--too much sauce, perhaps too many ingredients sometimes overpowering individual tastes. The quince preserve and large goat cheese cheesecake plus salted caramel sauce felt overwhelming together. Overall though it was delicious and a night to remember. A wonderful spot. Don't miss out. Reserve in a few days in advance if you can.
