We found this through kijiji and booked the 2 night special for 2 that included 2 suppers, 2 breakfasts and 2 passes to the hot springs for 204.63 including the taxes. Great deal!

The three course dinner was fabulous. I recomend going close to sunset. Its so beautiful sitting outside on the terrace enjoying a hungarian meal with a nice glass of wine.

The breakfast was simple but filling. We had a ham and cheese omellete both mornings that included toast and jam.

The room was clean and the views were WOW! We were on the main floor the first night but asked to move upstairs due to a family with 3 bouncing boys. We had a much better sleep but that could help from the beer and wine. Heeheehee

I would highly recommend this lodge. It is also only 10 mins away from the beaches in Invermere and Windermere.

Please don't forget to tip Steven and Edit who work very hard in operating this lodge.

We needed to get away and find a peaceful place to relax. We are so fortunate to have found the Rock Mountain Springs Lodge. The host and his wife went out of their way to met all our needs.
The view was fantastic. The best in the valley.
The food in their restaurant was excellent.
This was our second visit. We will be back.

My husband and I spent four nights at this nice lodge overlooking Radium. Here we found peace and quiet with an awesome view of the mountains. Our room was spacious and clean with a balcony off the living room looking out over Radium and the mountains.Breakfast came with the room and was served in the restaurant which was located on the bottom level of the lodge. The restaurant was open for dinner every evening from 5pm to 9pm.You could eat inside or outside on the balcony. We enjoyed our dining experiences and tried some great Hungarian dishes. We appreciated the hospitality of the hosts Stephen and Edith. They were very accommadating .We enjoyed our stay here and would encourage you check this place out for yourself.

CHecked into the hotel earlier than we thought (12 instead of 2) and there was no reception or no one to answer our numerous door bells. It was33 C and a baby and dog in the car so not very practical to leave either in. Decided to spend time at the hot pools and got back. Met cook and spoke no English. Finally owbers arrived from their shopping trip and did not really greet or acknowledge so went and asked for a key-had to pay money upfront which was strange. Rooms are very old and dated but view was fantastic. Has AC in room. Liked the room dividers as they wroked great for us. LArge space. CArpets seemd old and dirty though they were properly cleaned.
HAd read reviews prior to booking. for 124/night with breakfast. Breaksfast was meagre no yogurt and not much choice. Oddly they charged 5/night for my 14 month old baby which was dissapointing. Will i stay there again? NO. Owner finally warmed up. Seemed like a busy hangout though..For what? price maybe? Didnt really add value to my trip.

Hello fellow travellers!

We appreciate the travel advice and wisdom fellow reviewers, and want to give back.

We just returned from a stay and supper at Rocky Mountain Springs Lodge and Restaurant.

Room- just fine. European type of bed and bedding. Mini-fridge and microwave is handy in the front room area. TV and channels are fine. Cleanliness is very acceptable. Yes, the bathroom is old style, and you really feel you are in a motel. There is a futon in the front room, and you could sleep 2 more people there (so 4 people total in the motel room- which is really a bedroom not totally closed off, with a front room, and then a nice balcony looking over the lovely mountains- very Switzerland - like (we've been there).

Price- low-season (till mid-June) means we paid around $100 (inclusive of taxes, room cost, breakfast--> toast./jam/coffee eggs). Fine by us!

Supper- we paid about $50 for 2 wienerschnitzel meals and pop.

Hosts- are a humble and hard-working Hungarian family (we think there are 2 couples working at the place) who are trying to make a difference. The gentleman/owner basically did not intrude on our dinner (although to be honest, we would have LOVED to chat with him). He did speak with the couple who ate inside (perhaps they are local). Be prepared for humble and unintrusive service.

**This hotel is open during the spring, summer and fall- not winter. High season starts mid-June, and is more money).

Location- we turned and drove up the hill when we came to the woodcarving place (you cannot miss it). The turn is across from the Saltzburg Restaurant (another excellent restaurant, by the way- we've eaten there many times).

It costs money to travel, and we felt we got our money's worth from our stay at this nice motel.

Happy travels, fellow Trip Advisor friends!!

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
The Rocky Mountain Springs Lodge and Citadella Restaurant is situated well above Radium Hot Springs with the BEST view in town. We have panoramic view from every and EACH private balcony, even from the lower floor. Our Hungarian Restaurant is under the motel, with a huge patio, also with a magnificent view and the most delicious meals in an idyllic atmosphere. You can see the Rocky Mountains from everywhere in town, from all the motels, but it is not comparable to our view, just like you see it from an airplane or a bird's eye. Room price includes hot breakfast served in our restaurant with a variety of items to find your favorite one. It is not a buffet, rather a freshly served breakfast made by our Hungarian Chef, just like our dinners. We have an extensive menu for the evening meals, a variety of Hungarian, western and vegetarian dishes. You can watch the sunset while dining or from your private balcony, and the sunrise from your bed if you wish. We have pet friendly and wheelchair accessible suites on the main floor. All rooms have sitting area, new queen beds, new carpets, fridge, microwave and free WIFI. We can provide coffee makers or cattle's in your room.We are located a 1000feet over town by the National Park with all sorts of wildlife frequently walking by. A trail trough the forest starts from our parking lot to the Mineral Hot Springs. We, the owners clean the rooms, so they are spotlessly clean and we serve you in the restaurant as well, very friendly hospitality. ... more   less
