“What reall counts, and MORE!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 July 2013

The location is as convenient as any other in Radium, but the view from evey room is spectacular...at no extra cost!

The other BIG bonus of this facility is the dining room and the food. There is a wide range in evening dining times. (It was 5:00 to 9:00 PM during our visit). We dined on the large outdoor deck overlooking the entire valley...(the same million dollar view that is afforded from every room as well.)The menu is extensive and loaded with excellent, authentic, Eastern European dishes prepared the way they would be in a fine dining European hotel. I suggest trying some of the things you have never had before and experiencing some very pleasant surprises. Prices appear to range between very good and an outright bargain. My dinner and my wife's were excellent, and clearly fell into the "outright bargain" category. Service is prompt, professional, polite and attentive. No disappointments here, and in fact, this is reason enough to choose this facility. But combined with the view and the economical price, this makes us a repeat customer.

The rooms are quite adequate and have a separated sitting area (with 2 pull-outs for additional sleeping if needed). The sitting area accesses the balcony with truly the best view immaginable. The room was exceptionally clean, adeqately equipped and well maintained for a modest facility of it's kind. Our room had what appeared to be new carpet, a microwave, bar fridge, table, chairs, TV, free WiFi, balcony seating, etc. The bathroom was standard motel fare but perfectly clean and in good repair. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding was immaculate.

All aspects of service were excellent.

Overall, not a fancy place, but it had what counts and the view from every room, including the dining room and outdoor dining deck, and the meal quality make it special and a terrific value.

This hotel had the million dollar view. The room was cozy, clean, bathroom average with the exception of having a new detachable shower head. The owners however, were so kind and personal it was like visiting friends. The attached Citadella restaurant served excellent food. As a german myself, the wiener schnitzel was as good as back home. The owners served at the restaurant and were both attentive and prompt. I would definitely revisit this place regularly.

Room Tip: I recommend the second floor as the higher you are, the better the view.

Radium is three hours away from Calgary, but totally "BC-ish" for us Albertan's ... a very different climate than the prairies. Fairmont Hot Springs and Radium Hot Springs are nearby and the town of Invermere is very nice ... huge lake, big cottage homes and a quaint little town center area.

We went to the above motel on a discount coupon. When we pulled up we noticed it is very small, 12-14 suites on 2 floors and still very original ... dated. Our suites were of a good size abut a little dated decor wise (so what!) ... but the mattress and bedding was all new as well as the carpet ... and everything was very clean ... and the view huge, you look over the town but also the mountains ... and the area is very quiet on a very high hill. It was 5 minutes to the Radium Hot Springs...

So, so far ... we are OK .... its nothing fancy but we didn't want to spend a lot of money, we are just glad its quiet, clean and reasonable priced. Here's the big difference tho ... being of a European mindset (the owners are from Hungary) they include breakfast in a little dining room on the lower level (it has a deck/patio too) ... and it was great ! Our particular coupon also gave us a 3 course dinner with wine ... they bring in a chef/cook to make both these hot meals and they are great ... and totally unexpected

We enjoyed visiting with Steven and Edith, tho quiet they were very friendly and we even shared a glass of schnapps after our dinner with them ... for our value and 'values' ... we would definitely go there again for a getaway from Calgary

Room Tip: The view's are all the same (the rooms all face the same way), but the layouts vary ... also ask...

We stayed here for 2 nights in June on a promotional package. The rooms were simple but clean. The view was fantastic and the meals were great. Eating our evening meals on the deck with the wonderful view!!! The hosts were friendly and helpful. It was a great deal. We would stay again

Room Tip: All rooms have a balcony that looks out over the Columbia valley - fantastic view

We stayed there on our way to Idaho on a recent vacation and right from the time we pulled up we were impressed with the amount of pride that the owners put into the hotel. IT may not be the newest, shiniest, most modern hotel out there, but it is well taken care-of, very clean and the view from the balconies is unmatched. It has some wear and tear and old tvs, but with the view that they have, you won't need to watch the tv, you will be out on the balcony with a nice drink taking it all in.

If you are looking for the Best Western, it's down the hill and can't offer the same view of the Columbia Valley that the Rocky Mountain Springs Lodge has.

The restaurant is limited in it's menu, but what they offer is well done and very tasty. Our only complaint was that the restaurant balcony was closed because it was raining while we were there.

My wife and I were very impressed with the food and the hotel and will be staying there again whenever we head to the Radium area,

Room Tip: All rooms have a balcony overlooking the valley so there are no bad rooms.

We stayed here for two nights in June. The room was clean. The bed was comfy and the view was amazing. The meals in the restaurant were excellent. The owners were very hospitable. Free wifi too. We had a promotional package that included two dinners and two breakfasts. Was worth far more than we paid.

Room Tip: It was nice to have a room on the second floor.

We just contacted the Rocky Mountain Springs Lodge. We had dealfind vouchers were booked for Monday and Tuesday night (June 24&25,2013). Steve, the owner, took our call. We explained that we are unable to get from Calgary AB to Radium BC. There is currently a natural disaster going on here. A state of emergency. Steve was unwilling to rebook our reservation. He was extremely rude to us.

I'm sorry somebody feels like I talk rude on the phone, I just tried to explain what he could do with his voucher. It expired at the end of June, I can not accept it in the high season. I told him, he can use the amount of the voucher against a regular stay or get his money back from the company.
He just did not understand the fact he can't use a low season deal in the high season time,
so he got very angry. Everybody else cancelled the reservations after the flood in Calgary and Canmore, I tried to help as I could, some people rescheduled for after the summer season or just got their money back from the company.

The Rocky Mountain Springs Lodge and Citadella Restaurant is situated well above Radium Hot Springs with the BEST view in town. We have panoramic view from every and EACH private balcony, even from the lower floor. Our Hungarian Restaurant is under the motel, with a huge patio, also with a magnificent view and the most delicious meals in an idyllic atmosphere. You can see the Rocky Mountains from everywhere in town, from all the motels, but it is not comparable to our view, just like you see it from an airplane or a bird's eye. Room price includes hot breakfast served in our restaurant with a variety of items to find your favorite one. It is not a buffet, rather a freshly served breakfast made by our Hungarian Chef, just like our dinners. We have an extensive menu for the evening meals, a variety of Hungarian, western and vegetarian dishes. You can watch the sunset while dining or from your private balcony, and the sunrise from your bed if you wish. We have pet friendly and wheelchair accessible suites on the main floor. All rooms have sitting area, new queen beds, new carpets, fridge, microwave and free WIFI. We can provide coffee makers or cattle's in your room.We are located a 1000feet over town by the National Park with all sorts of wildlife frequently walking by. A trail trough the forest starts from our parking lot to the Mineral Hot Springs. We, the owners clean the rooms, so they are spotlessly clean and we serve you in the restaurant as well, very friendly hospitality. ... more   less
