The Canadian Children's Museum is one of the most popular attractions at the Canadian Museum of History, and has been since it opened its doors in 1989. Passports in hand, visitors discover one incredible destination after another. Whether on a visit to homes in the International Village, a trek to a desert pyramid, a jaunt to the Port of Entry to help unload a cargo ship, or a stroll through the bustling Market Bazaar, visitors encounter endless ways to learn about the world and one another. A world of discovery where parents have as much fun as their kids!

Our twin 2-year-olds loved this place! We spent way more time here than we thought - turns out the kids were not too small to enjoy everything. Kids of all ages (including many adults) were scampering around so the creativity and ingenuity of the attractions appealed to all.

Many great highlights, including: the colorful bus in the exhibit that encourages one to go on a global tour around the world, the pyramid with the secret passage that leads to a camel, the loading dock where you can load goods onto a boat. Our kids loved to dress up behind the stage and then run onto the stage pretending they were about to perform a show. We have some good photos and video of that and other experiences.

All in all - totally worth it. We happened to come on a Thursday afternoon when admission is free after 4pm, but would have gladly paid to come here as well.

Out of the half-dozen or so children's museums we have been to with them, this was the most entertaining.

We went here with our preschooler and baby and had a blast. Our daughter absolutely loved playing here. It was not so small that you felt packed in like sardines, but not so big that I felt the need to hover over her. It was the perfect size. There were lots of activities for children of all ages.

This is the best part of the History Museum. Perfect for the under 10 crowd. Frankly of the dozen or so kids sections in other museums around the world we have been to, this one is by far the most engaging and visually interesting. Bringing our kids here for an hour or so was a big hit. Worth doing if your kids are under 10.

Prepare yourself to walk briskly, duck under small doors, crawl on your knees and panick a few times as you might lose sight of your child for a few minutes...but other than that, it is simply a good time for all.

The best part is the Arts & Crafts room, where your kids (& you) can build things for dozens of minutes, if not hours.

I honestly thought that this was a terrible place, and not very family friendly. It was dangerous, and scared my kids. I'd advise any other parents not to go hear.
