Owner description: Only 20 minutes from Quebec City, the Parc National de la Jacques-Cartier earned its nickname, “Québec City's Great Outdoors,” with its four-season playground. Winter play is on the area's two ski resorts, snow slides, and its new snowshoeing and Nordic skiing trails. Summertime finds travelers hanging at the lakes. Feeling adventurous? Spend the night in a yurt, primitive campsite or cottage in the woods.

I visited this park during Winterlude and I had a great time talking about and taking in the view of the city. Such a great place.

“Dress for the weather and have some outdoor fun!”
Reviewed 3 February 2013 via mobile

Winterlude isn't only for the kids! Put on your snow pants and hat and slide away. It is beside the river and very open so it can be cold, especially if there is any wind.

Slide down the ice slides, try tubing, listen to some music, go for a sleigh ride. If possible go during the week after 3 or 4 or In the morning. When the kids were small I always took them out of school for a day to go to Winterlude(just not a Friday). When it is crowded it can be difficult to keep young children close.

Parking nearby can be difficult but there is a shuttle from Ottawa especially if you want to visit other Winterlude sights. The sno-bus is free on weekends.

Winter is long and cold. Get out there and enjoy it!

It is a magical place for both children and adults during the annual Winterlude festival as it becomes a wonderland of snow and slides

“Best place for kids during Winterlude”
Reviewed 16 November 2012

I remember this park from my childhood. Teddybear picnics and winterlude. I have the impression it's mostly kids stuff that goes on here, but that's probably because I went there for mainly kid things.
