We recently stayed at the Fernie Mountain Lodge on our way to Missoula. The hotel appearance, lobby and amenities are excellent. There is a Boston pizza attached, the staff were great, recommend "The Caboose" local beer. The room was really well outfitted, multiple choices of pillows and very comfortable beds. The in room movie selection was very good, broad selection. The hot breakfast in the morning was also very good, pancakes, eggs, fresh fruit and cereal. Good coffee selection and juices. The Lodge is located close to the Fernie golf and country club, did not play, looks like a nice layout and conditions looked good. They have a very good driving range if you just want to grab a beer and beat some balls and take in the view. Great area to stretch your legs if you have been on the road. My only negative would have been our rooms location, to close to the elevator and ice machine, I could have gone and asked to change rooms, my bad. I would stay their again. PS there is an on site massage therapist, definitely recommend booking a massage.
