Just spent the winter in Fernie skiing. This was my absolute favorite place to eat out in town. They opened late 2013 and I think it took them a while to get all the wrinkles ironed out. I ate there several times January through March, never disappointed, always delighted. Mark and his staff welcoming, friendly and attentive. Nothing but good things to say about the food - inventive, local, not your usual mainstream fair (eg - bratwurst/wild boar/corn chowder, rabbit stew, roast wild boar). Good wine list. Comfortable casual atmoshphere, nice local decor - mixed clientale - everything from local ski bums in toques to people dressed for a nice evening meal. They have a great little area with couches and comfy chairs that is great if you just want to sit with a drink. A welcome addition to the Fernie dining scene. It will be the first place I go next time I am back in town.
