Off of the highway so it's quiet. The rooms are well done up and very clean. The staff is very polite and friendly as well. They offer pet friendly rooms which is a positive as well. Highly recommended,

Very clean but very small motel room. I am a tall person but not large and I felt claustrophobic in the bathroom. We stayed here twice in the span of a week. The beds are inconsistent. We were told we had a queen bed each stay but the first one was barely a double. I measured it. The second one was a queen but was as hard as a rock. Quite possibly the most uncomfortable mattress I’ve ever slept on. Just realize that you are getting the most basic of basic so measure that out when you are trying to find the value here. I didn’t think it was worth what you are paying.

Motel was clean and location very quiet. Easy to find, just off the main highway. The room was big enough and there was a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker with a small table and two chairs. Most of the furniture has nicks and scratches. Hodge-podge reno efforts have been made. Bathroom had three types of mismatched tiles, trim throughout the room had been messily painted, the carpet by the door had paint spatters and splotches. No hairdryer, AC not functioning so no air movement in the room, and no hand towels.. However, there were enough electrical outlets for all our chargeable electronics and the bathroom vanity was big. Good place if you have no need to go into Edmundston and want a quick stop along the road.

This is a good place to stopover during a road trip. The rooms are average and parking is right outside the doors. One thing to mention is that during off season, the office closes early and you must check in by phone if you are not going to be there before the office closes for the night.

We were driving from PEI to Montreal for the holidays and there were whiteout conditions around Edmundston so we decided to turn in for the night. Snowstorm was so bad ploughs weren’t out, but we slipped and slid our way to La Roma, and we are so glad we did! Found a great price online and booked from a truck stop down the highway. Had an easy check-in, friendly desk clerk, and our room was terrific. Very clean, and even had a small bistro set along with a microwave and fridge (though all we needed were warm blankets and stormchips!) We were snowed in the next morning but the hotel ploughed us out shortly after we asked. All in all, La Roma far exceeded all our expectations for a motel along the Trans-Canada and we will definitely stay there again as we drive the route frequently.
