They really do their best to achieve perfection! We had a 2 room Penthouse Nordik condo for 6 nights. Access to the ski mountain is SO EASY with the lockers and the 2nd floor exit to the mountain. Access to the hot tubs is SO EASY. Room service was impeccable, even on December 31st when the hotel is just loaded. The bistro was quite quaint and the service was appreciated! My boys loved the game room in the basement. The convenience store is well equipped and EASY to shop. We spent a nice, EASY week. This was the third year in a row that we spent New Year's at the Chateau. We wiil be back!

Room Tip: 2 room Nordik Penthouse is the way to go!

My husband and I love this hotel for its ski-in ski-out convenience. 3 years ago we went for Christmas holiday and had a great time skiing, then enjoying hot chocolate and mashmallow in the lobby by the big fireplace each day. The good memory took us there again for this New Year Holiday. However, I guess not a lot of people are taking the meal package for the whole stay like us, there was a little mess-up with our meal tickets, but Mr. Cesar (at the front desk) is the best! He is so kind to listen to us and try to find a solution for us even if he was at the end of his shift. We are truly touched by him and his help! He definitely made this New Year holiday a wonderful holiday for us at Chateau Mont Sainte-Anne. We will definitely be back again :)

...I will stop short of assigning 4 stars (which means, "Very Good").
We stayed during the 2013 Christmas week with another family of friends – 2 rooms. The rooms that we got for 7-night stay were not the renovated rooms. This is unfortunate - one would think that guests who stay longer would get a more comfortable rooms, right?...
So, the rooms themselves were spacious, all facilities/appliances in working conditions (++); however, a kitchen faucet in friends’ room and one in our bathroom were leaking (--). The room was equipped with a fairly new thermostat (++) , but a Heater unit was a very old one and a wooden cover in our room was broken. When it fell off, it almost cut me with a naked nail, a grill inside was dirty (--). Our rooms were equipped with a kitchenette (++). Coffee maker was the cheapest version of any I have seen in my life, a more hard push to close a lid would break it apart (--). Mini-Fridge was a fair size and worked all right, as well as a microwave and a 2-slice toaster. Beds were very comfortable (++) and double-door separated to a balcony of a reasonable size. TV set was an old, flat-screen CRT (not a flat-TV). Wi-fi was weak in evening, worked great in the first part of a day. Room service was good, except that they start too early. Make sure you put Do Not Disturb, otherwise they will be knocking on your door by 8:30am.
The Hotel has a chateau-style and hotel-type rooms. The latter are linked internally to al facilities – health centre, restaurant, kids play rooms. This is important, especially for families with kids. A separate elevator takes to a Ski Locker Room that has a door out to ski slopes of Mt Saint-Anne (see my other review on the Ski Resort).
Two other adjacent elevators are operating the entire 6 stores and are located in a corner. If one has mobility difficulties, this will present quite an issue, so take a note!
Buffet was to pricey for a breakfast at this kind of hotel, but a dinner was reasonably priced. Great choice on a menu! (++).
The health centre (sauna, exercice room, pool, outside whirlpool) are not new, but clean and well-maintained.
There was a singer in a lobby 4-6 pm, fairly casual singing, but not bad at all. Lobby is large and spacious and has a large wood-burning fireplace. It may at time get noisy with some guests elevating their voices (after a few drinks), but overall, this place is safe for kids.
The hotel staff is polite, quite responsive and trying best to do their job. There were minor language hick-ups, but all easily resolved in good spirit from both sides.
I would recommend this place to friends as a solid 3+ star hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for renovated rooms. Room numbers higher than x20 (x-floor number) are farther from the elevator and will require longer waking (but will result in less traffic in the hallway). Odd numbers face slopes, even numbers have more privacy

Bonjour InstyleLive,
Thank you for your comments which are very comprehensive and well detailed. However, a clarification about the rooms. We offer a range of studios and condos fully renovated, 90 ESPACENORDIK 5 star quality and 48 Studio Chateau units are renovated 4 ½ stars quality. Different types of units are well explained on our website.
We expect to complete the renovation of all Champêtre (countrystyle) units over the next three years.

We just spent 3 days there before Christmas and had a marvelous time. There are some very special touches there. In the afternoon you can get coffee, hot chocolate and cookies in the lobby. There also is a singer during happy hour in the lobby who was very good. There is a side bar that will make flaming drinks for you and you can buy hors d'ourves there as well. What makes it truly unique though is that they offer marshmallows for the kids to roast in the lobby fireplace. How awesome is that? We really enjoyed ourselves there.
