“Beautiful spacious property in fantastic location”
Reviewed 19 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

We stayed in 2 Coopers Cottage at the start of August 2016 with our young son and our friends who also have 2 young children.

The location is great - very peaceful and within easy walk of the Bodiam Castle. There are pubs walking distance, and shops are within short drive away.

The property is large and spacious, with lots of character but also modern and clean. Very light and bright. Well equipped kitchen, great outdoor eating area. Good WIFI. Highchair, stair gate and travel cot for little ones.

Owners were very accommodating and lovely to deal with. We arranged for 2 other couples with children to stay in an adjoining cottage at late notice for one of the nights - the owners were extremely helpful in arranging this.

Would definitely recommend to couples or families, and this would be particularly good for large groups if also renting out the adjoining properties (there are 4 in total).

“Clean, spacious, well-equipped and a warm welcome.”
Reviewed 1 August 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Lovely place, nicely done out and a pretty view at the back. We had a very pleasant stay and we're welcomed warmly, with all the essentials catered for, plus a big cake! Comfy sofas and beds, nice bathrooms, clean modern kitchen.
Only one point; we arrived on a hot day and the rooms upstairs were stifling (being a barn conversion it's inevitable), so I think fans up there in the summer would be helpful.

Thank you for your feedback. The hot weather recently did cause the cottage to become very hot and we have now placed more fans in there for our guests comfort. With use of the blackout blinds and these we hope that a comfortable balance can be found.
Many thanks

“Lovely Place”
Reviewed 13 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We stayed here for three nights and were very happy with the experience overall.
There was a welcome pack which incorporated a delicious home made cake and some other essentials. The owners were friendly and helpful and the actual location of the property is great. The accommodation was clean and spacious and a really attractive environment to stay in.
Ideal for a large family group. And dog friendly!

“Spacious and Relaxing Location”
Reviewed 13 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Our family of four, with two teenagers, stayed for three nights in June 2016. Everyone enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It had four bedrooms and three bathrooms. One bedroom and bathroom were on the first floor, the other bedrooms and bathrooms were on the second floor.

The property was very spacious, newly remodeled and very attractively decorated. Everything was super clean. The owner paid great attention to detail with the furniture and finishes throughout the property - we were very impressed. The black-out blinds on the bedroom windows were an especially great addition. There was plenty of storage and a hairdryer in each bedroom. All of the plumbing worked properly and there was a washer/dryer in the kitchen. Free WiFi was included.

The owner greeted us upon arrival and there was even a homemade cake and a few groceries waiting for us. The views of the horses and vineyard behind the cottage were beautiful, especially from the second floor bedroom windows. The only suggestion I would make for this property is upgrading the beds. Their comfort level was decent, but could be improved.

This was a great location to use as a base for three days exploring south-east England. From here, we visited nearby Bodiam Castle (not to be missed!), Battle Abbey, and Rye, as well as day trips to Dover and Brighton.

Thank you for your kind comments. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay and sorry that you did not find the bed to your taste. We do have to go for a medium mattress to try to suit most people. All our beds are new and mattresses also.
Glad you found the history of the area not to be missed.
Many Thanks

“Wonderful relaxing break”
Reviewed 27 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

We had a lovely 2 nights stay at this cottage. It has lots of lovely personal touches, including homemade cake, bread, milk, butter, hand soap, cleaning products etc.
Decor and cleanliness are both excellent. The people who ran it were lovely. Couldn't do enough for us. My sons loved the new swing ball and country walk to Bodiam. They named the horses Thunder and Lightening. We are thinking of going back at some point either next year or the year after.
