“a good "stop-over"”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 August 2013

we pulled in here on our way home from the maritimes. the fella at the front desk who checked us in was very pleasant as was all of the staff. our room (108) was a great place to lay your head and this particular room had a small 2nd bedroom for our girls which was fun for them. the beds are comfy and the sheets clean which is all we were looking for on our way back.

i found the a/c quite loud as well and i, too, thought the windows were screwed shut like a previous poster. turns out they weren't, just jammed so a little elbow grease got that fixed. we preferred having an open window as it was a cool night and the a/c, as i mentioned, is a bit much.

the free breakfast is basic so if you're a coffee and toast kind of breakfast-er you'll be fine. cereal, hard boiled eggs (which were nice), toast, hot drinks and juice was provided. i would like to see less waste when it comes to the disposable plates and utensils but that's just me. i know that it takes staff to clean and wash plates so it may not be a possibility.

didn't get in the pool as it was cool outside but was a good temperature and quite old school...a 10 ft. deep end! thought that was pretty cool. well kept and clean, too.

i think that this inn can use some updating with the wiring and decor (we had quite the jumble of wires on our dresser) but i wouldn't drive by just because of that. my house could use some updating, too :) it's a clean bed and a great location which is all i was looking for. thanks for the good night's sleep :)

Room Tip: the bedroom with the small 2nd bedroom was only $10 more and is nice to tuck the kids in and shut th...

Pleasant and friendly helpful staff.
Room was satisfactory - nothing exceptional in either direction. Clean, Secure. Desk area in the room.
Bathroom was clean.
Parking free.
Free Wifi.
The restaurant was mediocre and the breakfast (free) was mainly processed food on styrofoam plates with plastic forks. Would not recommend the restaurant for dinner. Try somewhere else.

Amazing place, service is great, the staff is amazing. The rooms are clean and the place is well kept. The food at the restaurant is excellent. If we ever come back this way, we will stop at the hotel for sure !

Rooms are pretty good and clean. The staff was great, very helpful, friendly, extremely easy to get along with and professional. On-site restaurant was a good value with fair prices and home cooked taste. Getting to the hotel couldn't be any easier as it is just a quick 30 seconds from the Trans-Canada. Very quiet, you can barely hear the highway. I will be back.

Room Tip: I liked the drive up rooms the best. Also 127 was a large room.

Run down motel, Terrible parking lot, full of potholes, not well lit. Good Kleenex and clean, Great value. Nice hosts easy check in. Good bed and a handy location near the hwy. Quiet although Un decor uninspired. Sparse continental breakfast. No real way to adjust air. Rough, worn towels
Poor lighting and windows don't open, air window unit that we were afraid to try. No elevator, only doubles on ground floor. Queen room up steep stairs. Not good with luggage. Internet signal was weak. We had a discount rate via AARP and they did not charge my card until we arrived. Cheap sufficient for a quick stay and getting back on the road.

Room Tip: Downstairs unless you want to haul luggage.

We stayed here for the night on our way to Nova Scotia and found the location to be excellent as it is right off the highway. We had no difficulty finding a big enough room for our 2 pets and our kids and found the desk clerk and the manager to be quite friendly and extremely helpful. Our room were clean and spacious and exactly what we needed after a long day of driving. The outdoor pool was perfect for a nice refreshing swim and when it came time for supper, we decided to try the motel's restaurant. The food was wonderful and well priced, and i especially enjoyed the steak. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast in the morning really hit the spot. We had a great time there and we would certainly be back.

We reserved here for the end of a 1st day drive of 650 miles from Philadelphia, on way to the Maritimes, next stop was King's Landing Settlement.
It was a night's sleep, no more. Air conditioner was noisy, but necessary, as windows were screwed shut. We did not want to be in car any longer and ate at restaurant, but this was really poor. Lasagna was noodles with a canned sauce, other 1/2's burger was practically institutional. Breakfast was not better. We should have gone into town instead for dinner.
The lodging was certainly inexpensive, but the restaurant was not, relative to the quality.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review for our property. We are sorry that you did not enjoy the dinner, I guess it is all about personal taste, As you can see by the other reviews, our guests are pretty pleased with the prices and the quality. As you you can imagine, it is not always easy to please everyone...and we certainly we wish we could. Our location is great for travellers visting the maritimes and we are proud to be able to play host to them. We pride ourselves on great customer service and we are continuously improving our property based on all comments. Thank you again for the comments. Hopefully you will think about giving us another try.
