Staff are extremely well-trained and are attentive, the dining room was quiet because of a no cell phone policy which was observed.
Breakfast and dinner as expected, excellent local breads and preserves. Try to reserve a bedroom
with a lakeside view, and a table in the dining room for breakfast in the conservatory as close to the lake as you can, or else near a window in the dining room.
There are choices of rustic bedrooms or more modern, (we chose the rustic,) apart from the modern tv it was really pretty.
Fold up the luggage rack at the end of the bed if you don't need it, it just gets in the way at night
getting to the bathroom and you will hit your leg on something, either the bed or the rack if you haven't put on the light. Bed side lights, two clicks to the right to turn off, (in the rustic room).

Room Tip: Balcony, lakeside, rustic

My husband and I celebrated my birthday at the Manoir Hovey for a long weekend. We're from New York City so it was about a six hour drive. The Manor was inviting, relaxing, and charming from the minute we drove up. The Manor is not far from the border and easy to find. We had a special package that included dinner and breakfast. We made it up by 7:00 on a Friday night, unpacked, and had an exceptional dinner. We had stayed at a Relais & Chateaux previously so we knew that the food would be excellent- and it was. The food was wonderfully prepared, and beautifully arranged. All was excellent.

It was not swimming weather so we took long walks, read, and drove to town. We had a fireplace to take the chill out of the air, and to enjoy the ambiance of the room. Everything in the room was thought out to make one comfortable: the armchairs, the bed, the lighting, the whirlpool bath, the ample closet space, and the sitting area on the porch.

We already are talking about returning.

Room Tip: We wanted a suite but they were booked. We had a room with a fireplace and a whirlpool in one of th...

Nice place to stay and relax. The people is very kind and helpful. Without doubt, excellent service!

The diner in the Hatley was exceptional, small portions full of flavor! They encourage to not use the cellphone in the restaurant, my wife was delighted by that.

The only "problem" that we had was that there is no fridge in the room 22 and We didn't have where to keep cold the baby food, We needed to keep the food in the pub's fridge.

Without doubt, we are going to come back, maybe in fall, to see the tree colors.

Room Tip: The room 22 is small but cosy and with a great view to the lake.

Hovey Manor is settled in a beautiful area of the Eastern townships. The manor is built close to Lake Massawipi where you can do many activities on or around the lake. What impressed me the most were the elegant rooms and with no doubt the high quality of meals and wines. The personnel is attentive to your desires. Enjoy!

Just spent Easter week-end at the Manoir, My lovely Girlfriend treated me here for my birthday, yes I am a very spoiled man! Had read about it here before going. Sounded great, website was great. This still does not prepare you for the experience. We are keen foodies and were treated to exquisite experiences in dinning room. Super presentation, unique flavors and textures. We love the promotion of local products. Even their wine list includes an impressive rainbow of selections, counting canadian wines among the choices, a rare thing.

Room was second to none, service absolutely impeccable, nothing but smiles and kindness all around.

We can only imagine how this place would look like in full spring bloom, green summer colors and fall warm reds.

Loved the experience.

Thanks to Manoir's great team!

Visiting the Eastern Townships in March can be fraught weather wise but Hovey
Dealt with every issue without turning a hair. From parking my car and clearing it
Of snow and ice to producing a marvelous meal with no notice at all to the usual classic dining
Perfect, friendly service aided by having a wonderful chef. Chateau Aux Relais is always pricy
But worth it during a compulsory trip in grim March weather!!!
