All the other reviews about the facility are spot on. No need to repeat them here. The experience is exceptional thanks to the staff from the valet to the front desk to the restaurant, housekeeping, the tour boat captain and even the gardener. All are bi-lingual. We took a breakfast/dinner package. Service charge is included. Alcohol additional. Trust the sommelier to select the right wine with your meal. Be adventurous as you probably won't serve most of the dishes at home. Most important to us is that the property is dog friendly. If our black lab can't go, we don't go. Even our dog enjoyed her lake experience.

Room Tip: There is a CAD40 pet charge. You will need to stay in one of the cottages as opposed to the main bui...

Finest food in N. America. Quiet location lakeside. Small village nearby. Swim in the pool or lake. Small exercise room. Coffee in the rooms (pods) is so-so, but the coffee downstairs is excellent. Enjoy a cup with the morning paper on the front porch overlooking the lake. It doesn't get much better than that.

Luxurious suite, beautiful surroundings, fun activities and exceptional food and service make this hotel a 5 star! We would love to bring our family here. We will definitely be back! Would love to spend time there in the winter.

This is a truly lovely hotel in an area we had never been to before. The hotel sits on a lake and is surrounded by beautiful gardens. Our room, large and with a balcony, faced the lake and was a perfect place for a glass of wine at the end of the day. Our room was charming and beautifully decorated. The staff were friendly and helpful as well. We had an absolutely outstanding dinner there, with a dessert that I have found in only three other places in the world where we have traveled. So why 4 stars instead of 5? The water in the shower was tepid at best, though it was quite toasty in the sink and tub. We noted it to the front desk the first night and they said they would send someone up to check it. But it remained tepid. Also, the Internet was unreliable; sometimes it was unavailable for hours. Still, we were charmed by Manoir Hovey and plan to return. Perhaps we hit the Internet having a bad spell! We were on the third floor, and there was no elevator. That was not a problem for us, but it might be for some travelers.

Room Tip: A room facing the lake!

We had a great time here. The food and the setting are phenomenal. We had a treetop room which I think is worth the extra money and the privacy is a real plus. Room was incredibly spacious and very well appointed.

The food is unreal and the bbq we had on Friday was especially good. The trip was very relaxing and we really enjoyed it.

We had an issue with our air conditioning the first night that made our room quite warm but the manager compensated us for the inconvenience and were quite apologetic. It was fixed the next morning after a contractor was brought in. Service was incredibly slow at one of our breakfasts.

These issues aside it was great and without them I would have given the manoir an even higher rating.

Imagine a place where you can stroll the gardens, with every Adirondack chair perfectly situated for relaxation and privacy, though not so private that a nice young man or woman can't find you and bring you a glass of wine. Magical. And then there are the dinners, two-plus hours of delectable cuisine (and a great wine cellar to boot). In the mornings, we drank coffee on our balcony overlooking the lake, wondering why it took us so long to get here and how long it would be until we return.

Just back from 1 night at this fabulous & prestine Manor. Everything about it exceeded any expectations I may have had!
There isn't anything the owners/managers haven't thought of!
The staff members are truely lovely and eager to do anything to make your visit a memorable one.
I had a breakfast that was to die for...eggs Benedict, such a treat. Sadly, I didnt have dinner there...next time!!
Because there will most definitely be a next time!!!
