“A Perfect Base for the Tremblant Area for Family Holidays”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 February 2011

We stayed here for 9 days with our kids in February. In pretty much all respects it was the perfect base for a holiday in the Tremblant area and, in the scheme of things, was only very marginally (15 mins) further to travel from Montreal than Tremblant itself.

The house itself was spot on for our family - we stayed in No. 61 which is on a quieter ridge of the resort albeit still only a 3-4 minute walk from the clubhouse and the lake. Our house had views down to Lake Labelle in the distance and looks more secluded than many of the other houses. I think you can pay a little extra for a lakeside chalet but I am not sure it is worth paying extra to have people walk by your chalet and hear first hand all the fun of the lake.

The houses (which have I understand all been done to similar furnishing standard) are very well kitted out with good quality furnishings (including very comfy beds) and fittings and have loads of space. There was only 5 in our group but our house could comfortably have taken up to 12 and would be ideal for a family gathering - the study in the basement has been converted into an additional bedroom in addition to the usual 5 bedrooms - and there is loads of living space, including a decent sized basement with pool table. We spent more time in the resort than planned - the kids were just as happy ice-skating on the lake, swimming, snow shoe-ing and sledging (61 has a great drive for sledging down!) and playing in the snow covered area around the house as they were going to Tremblant (which quickly becomes a very expensive place to visit in comparison). The hot-tub was also well used.

So all in all, a resort that is worth considering if you are staying in the Tremblant region - you get much more for your money than staying in Tremblant, much more peace and seclusion if desired, and yet Tremblant is only 25 minutes away.

We had an amazing time. Accommodations could not have been more perfect. Though there are many other chalets nearby, the many trees surrounding the chalet provided great privacy and seclusion. Kitchen was fully-equipped, stainless steel appliances, and overall the place was beautifully furnished. We loved having our own private hot tub, and the views were stunning. Beds were extremely comfy. About a 20 min. drive to the slopes. Will definitely return.

I just got back from a spectacular two days at Blueberry Lake Resort. We went with a large group of about a dozen friends split between two of the Resort's chalets. Everything was absolutely perfect and I cannot imagine a more perfect location close to Ottawa and Montreal to enjoy with friends any time of the year.

I would say that our chalet (#44) was in the best location as it was on top of a hill, surrounded by forest and overlooking the valley below. The chalet was appointed with everything you could need for an extended stay including, washer/drier, full kitchen, wifi access, pool table, BBQ, hot tub and television. We never felt compelled to want to leave. It's perfect for those that went to get out into nature, but don't want to sacrifice on the comforts of home. I will also add that the pictures of the chalet's do not do them justice! They are huge and extremely comfortable. I would rate the stay 5+ and would suggest to my closest friends to stay for a few days or more!

Blueberry Lake Resort is great - the place is gorgeous, it's equipped with everything you could possibly need. The house is beautiful and located in a great location surrounded by beautiful landscapes. The chalet's fireplace is so cozy and the beds are super comfortable. I would highly recommend it and would definitely go again!

This was our first time to Blueberry Resort. We stayed Monday 3rd January to January 6th. 7 adults three children 4, 3 and 8 months old.
The place was great lots of room, very clean. garbage bags were supplied soap for dishwasher and toilet paper and soap and laundry soap. One does not need to bring anything.
When we arrived staff were very courteous. The fireplace was already for us just to light . One night we had trouble with the hot tub, called and maintenance was there in 5 minutes Lots of activities we snow showed , skated at nite. swam Great play area for children. Further to the previous comments we are from ontario and found staff great. Also the fireplace could have easily heated the cabin. Power outages do happen.

Stayed here to ring in the new year in a group of six.

The following were some events that we experienced that prevents me from giving this resort a good rating:

-A 3-hour electricity outage on the entire resort on the evening of Dec 30th. During this time, the heating was off, causing the room temperature to drop to 17C, making for a very chilly first night. No access to reception through the cottage telephone line during this time (because it is an internet-based line and requires electricity). Instead, called reception multiple lines through personal cell phone during the outage, but no pick-up. No reassurance, alternate heating or light sources were provided during the outage.

- A perceived decrease in level of customer service received by Anglophones in comparison to Francophones. This was apparent while waiting in line at the reception during check-out as well as during phone call to reception in the middle of the stay to inquire about extended checkout. In general the Anglophobia seems to exist in the entire region and was experienced by our group throughout the local villages of Labelle and Ste-Agathe-des-Monts.

Other than that, the cottage itself was great: very clean, fully-equipped, and cozy.

Thank you '1Bosanac" for your kind remarks stating "the cottage itself was great: very clean, fully-equipped, and cozy". We really appreciate your taking time to write to us.

I wish to apologize for any inconvenience you experienced during the 6:30pm to 8pm regional power outage. I have checked with our GM who informed me that a member of staff was sent around the resort to visit each chalet to verbally explain the situation and offer extra provisions including extra candles and water to those who needed it. All of the chalets are equipped with torches and log burning fireplaces that are designed to provide additional heat if necessary.

After thorough investigation, it would appear that your perceived Anglophobia remark is an isolated case and I wish to assure you of Blueberry Lake's commitment to make everyone feel welcome and at home. Every member of the Blueberry Lake Resort team draws pleasure from meeting and helping our guests to enjoy the many activities and quality time environment that Blueberry Lake provides.

We sincerely hope to see you again at Blueberry Lake and once more, thank you for writing.

Spent New Years here with a group of friends. We all had an amazing time. The chalet is fully loaded and features a modern kitchen, hot tub and flatscreen tv's. Rooms were clean, modern, comfortable. Staff was very helpful and sent a maintenance technician asap when we had some problems with the internet and the coffee machine.

Would recommend it to anyone looking to escape to the mountains outside Montreal for a long weekend or week.
