Hotel-Motel Le Boise Du Lac
Ranked #11 of 29 Hotels in Mont Tremblant
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 9 July 2013

We just returned from our summer vacation with the kids and Le Boise Du Lac was the last stop on our tour. We spent three nights in Montreal, two nights in Quebec City, two nights in Ottawa and two nights at Le Boise Du Lac. We all agreed we could have spent the entire time at Le Boise Du Lac. Of course, we had great weather while there, which helped. The rooms are basic, but very clean, with telephone / cable, television and Wi-Fi access (free). Many rooms have porch access that overlooks the lake. Our room (#18) had a back door that opened onto the porch and a table outside reserved for our room. We discovered that many families and couples from around the area (Montreal / Ottawa) stay at Le Boise Du Lac regularly and bring all their own food and outdoor cooking supplies to make use of the kitchen and barbecue areas. For families visiting from the US or abroad, it may not be possible to bring all of those things, but there are plenty of places to eat a short drive away. The owners were very nice and provided information whenever we asked. The lake is beautiful and peaceful. I am giving this inn five stars but visitors to the area should not confuse this property with one of the resort properties located in Mont Tremblant. This place is far more basic, but quaint, relaxing, and in my opinion a superior value and experience in comparison to what you might find at the pricier hotels and resorts in the area.

Room Tip: If you plan to stay more than a couple of days, buy some groceries at the Metro in the nearby town a...

A great place to stay while visiting the area if you are out doors people. If you have a family, and your children like to swim, fish, use boats, it's all here. There is a BBQ area, a play area for kids, and even a large, grassy yard w/ a volleyball net, and ping pong. That said, there was a quiet peace about everything; it was not noisy at all even though we saw children about, so couples or groups of friends would feel comfortable here as well. It is lovely to step out of your room and sit on the porch and enjoy the mountain air. The family St. Bernard adds great atmosphere; she's a beauty! We were just two visiting the area on business, and all of our questions were cordially answered. There is simplicity, cleanliness, and very pleasant atmosphere here. Our room was spacious and included a fridge. Last time I was in Mt. Tremblant, I stayed "at the top of the hill" in the resort...in one of the best hotels. Had a lot more fun at this little spot in the countryside. Breakfast is continental and if that is not to your liking there are restaurants very close by. You can also bring in your own food which is a huge plus. We enjoyed our stay very much and it was an excellent value.

Room Tip: We had room 2 and liked it.

We stayed there for 4 nights in May. The french couple managing this motel is really friendly and always go the extra-mile to ensure you'll have a great stay. They made us switch room to be able to enjoy the beautiful view from the deck. They also provided us with a lot of information on what to do in Tremblant. The room were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It was a perfect stay. Thanks!

We were just visiting from Ottawa, so we were not interested in spending the $210/night the hotels in the village were asking. We got a great rate on their website for the superior room with fireplace.

For the price we paid, this was a great deal. Please remember that this is a 2-star motel, and as long as you do, you'll have a great time. And yes, Puce is awesome!

I'm not here to talk about this hotel. Read the other reviews. It's all true. Best deal in the world. I want to talk about the two wonderful people Fabienne and Vincent. During our stay here I injured my knee skiing at Mt. Tremblant. I was basically bedridden and in pain for the rest of my stay. Out of the goodness of their hearts, Vincent picked up my girlfriend, her child and friend from the ski hills and brought them back to the hotel. The next day, Fabienne drove the three to a walk in clinic because of another injury. Yes, skiing can be dangerous. I can't express in words how touched we all were by their compassionate actions. THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS. Sure you can stay at a 5 star hotel where they don't really give a #$#^$# about you or you can stay at a hotel where it feels like home!!!!!! Highly recommended.

It was absolutely perfect. The service was amazing! Our little one was completely in love with Puce (the dog). The beach was superb and enjoyed by the whole family. Prime location, close to everything. Will definitely have to come back.
