We are from London England just spent 4 nights at Le grand lodge the staff couldn't be more friendly and welcoming or helpful , very relaxing well located venue with great shuttles to the ski village and local buses to the centre ville. the spa staff are amazing , pool and hot tub are generous . We went dog sledding with the husky adventures which was a unique never to be forgotten experience . Our friends were married on the rooftop of the hotel in the snow and we can't recommend this hotel more highly . The skiers were well catered for and this place on lac Ouimet must be stunning in the autumn and summer

We just did a day/night/day at Mont Tremblant (more on that in another post) and stayed at the Grand Lodge. A few friends have gone there in summer / fall and were always very happy. Our room was comfortable and had a gas fire place. The fire place and forced air room heating unit proved invaluable in terms of drying out our ski stuff for the next day. The kids played ping pong, pool and went in the pool / hot tub at night. The pool was a good size and the hot tub was huge. The beds were comfortable and we had a good nights rest.

The shuttle to the hill takes maybe 7-10 minutes (didn't actually measure it, but it wasn't a long drive) and went every 1/2 hour on the top and bottom of the clock. They have a secured ski locker room a short walk from where the shuttle drops you off. They also have a large room to hold your suitcases when you check out on a ski day (we also used it our first day when we dropped off in at 9am).

Although being on the hill might be a bit more convenient, this was certainly a good alternative and I suspect a lot quieter. The staff was helpful and efficient. We'd definitely return.

This was my first trip to Mont-Tremblant and was a good experience. The hotel is a bit of a drive away from the ski areas but the hotel had a shuttle that dropped you off and picked you up at the bottom of the ski hills. The hotel is big old log cabin building. Fire places are spread throughout the common areas with comfortable chairs to sit and relax at the end of the day. The rooms were large with a fire place and bar fridge in each room. They were a bit dated and the beds weren't the greatest but we sleep well. We only ate once at the hotel since we found the prices to be a bit high and we just didn't have the appetite for a five course meal. The buffet breakfast that we did eat there was wonderful with an omelette, crepe and waffle station. The pool, hot tub, and sauna were all good sizes and clean. We didn't use the spa services at the hotel because we choose to go to the Scandinavian Spa down the road. I was most impressed by the staff though! Moments after checking into our room we were greeted with champagne and truffles. The staff at the front desk was friendly and eager to help us organize activities and find great places to eat. Overall, everyone was very professional. The staff really made an OK hotel into a wonderful experience.

We wanted to stay somewhere that had the feel of a condo with the luxury of an on-site restaurant and bar, and we didn't want the traditional hotel feel. Le Grand Lodge was the perfect solution for us. We stayed in a 1 bedroom, lakeview suite. Loved that the lobby and spent many hours at the Whiskey Bar where bartender Yves was a fantastic host and introduced us to the "Sicilian Kiss" (ask him when you go!). Great music on several nights. Easy drive into town or take the free shuttle. Staff was very friendly and always willing to answer our questions. Towels could be a bit thicker and absolutely need a throw blanket for the living room sofa. We would definitely go back and, in fact, we did!! When our return flight from Montreal to NYC was cancelled on Thursday and again on Friday, we drove back to Le Grand Lodge and stayed another four nights!

Room Tip: Having a lakeview room with a balcony is worth the spend!

This is one of the most lovely places you can find. The lodge is very well positioned with beautiful views down Lac Ouimet, one of my favourite lakes ever. The rooms are well appointed, have all you need to cook. The beach and marina are practically perfect. Canoes, kayaks and paddle boats are available to hotel guests, as are towels, at no extra cost. Camp fires for roasting marshmallows in the summer. The lifeguarding staff, Stan and Pierre especially, are super. They keep a close eye and are friendly and welcoming. The indoor pool isn't quite as great. I felt it needed a good clean. Also staff were sweeping dirty water from the deck INTO the pool when I was there. It was disgusting, and I told the female lifeguard doing it that it wasn't ok. The small gym area could be bigger, and better, in a different part of the hotel.
The spa is lovely and the massages are quite good, though there are many other spas in the area to consider.
The hotel has a great location close to hiking and mountain bilking, as well as golf. It also has tennis courts.
We didn't eat much onsite. There are many excellent restaurants in the area. The bar food at the beach was well served and tasty, though the food on offer in summer is a bit pricey,
I'd say it's hard to go wrong here. We nope to return often.

Room Tip: Get a lake view!

Went with my parents and a few friends. Slept on the Murphy bed and it was awful. I was up until four in the morning after taking sleeping pills because I couldn't find a single comfortable position! No idea what the main bed is like. Really nice pool and great shuttle service to Mont Tremblant for skiing, shopping, etc. Liked the full kitchen in our room.
Bottom line: AVOID THE MURPHY BEDS AND PULL-OUT COUCH

Room Tip: Do not sleep on the Murphy bed.

We stayed at the Grand Lodge November 2013 for two days and ground the accommodation acceptable but dated. Location to Tremblant was about 4 km or 3 miles and convenient though you are out of the action. The rooms are big and comfortable for the most part but dated to say the least. Furniture is worn and grubby as well as the carpets. TVs are well ancient really tube TVs. Hey guys up date the video. Washroom clean though very poor lighting. For the record overall it wasn't a bad stay the place needs a serious update. Would I stay here again probably not the base of the hill is where one should go to enjoy the ambience of Tremblant. Neither bad nor good is our rating
