The rooms were nice, the indoor swimming pool, spa and exercice room were perfect. The kids club was awesome, the access to the lake and beach and the small fire camp at night were all part of our wonderful trip, we would go back anytime:)

We have stayed at the Le Grand Lodge almost every year since discovering it ~ 10 years ago. It has been just what we needed for a family with young children. The suites we have stayed in have been so perfect - lake view balconies, fireplace , separate master suite including king size bed, TV and ensuite bath ( there is no separate AC in the bedroom and the AC unit in the main room doesn't quite make it to the suite so nights can be hot). The suite is big enough for each of or two children to bring a friend as it also has a Murphy bed and pull out couch. This has been important as our children are 7 yrs apart and need their own playmates .The lodge itself is fascinating to explore inside and out. Beautiful pool and hot tub with an overlooking gym. Games room for fun. But the best feature of all, is the private beach and its amenities. Kayaks ,canoes and paddle boats available to guest at no extra charge. Do yourself a favour and take a paddle early in the morning when the lake is like glass - indescribable !! When the children were younger ,having a fully equipped kitchen was a blessing ! In the event of rain , plenty to do and explore in this fabulous log paradise.Sitting in the lounge, with its deck overlooking the lake, you can relax in the sweet smell of leather and wood. Finally, it is a quick 7 minute drive to the village of Tremblant which is spectacular in itself !

Room Tip: Deluxe Lake View room is spectacular !

I went there in Summer and in Winter. If you want to ski at Mont-Tremblant, they have a shuttle. There is also a nice place to do cross country skiing (Domaine Saint-Bernard).

In summer, you can go on the beach or go kayaking on the lake. You can go golf nearby.

There is an indoor swimming pool and an indoor spa.

We spent two nights at the Grand Lodge. We booked in early January and were aware that rooms were in the process of being renovated. We asked to be booked in a renovated room; unfortunately, we were booked in a non-renovated room - we were slightly disappointed.

The good:
Room: The room was very large with two large beds. A small microwave and fridge were provided. We had access to a gas fireplace.

Pool and whirlpool: The hotel has a large whirlpool and large size pool. We enjoyed both and found them to be well kept.

Bar and Grill: You will find a lovely bar with a view the lake. Several fireplaces in the lobby area. There were a few large screen TVs (quite nice during the Winter Olympics!) The French Onion Soup (Soupe à l'Oignon Gratinée) was excellent.

Parking: Parking was free.

WIFI: WIFI was free.

Breakfast: Buffet style breakfast in the lobby was excellent. A cook is available for omelettes, your choice of eggs and a good variety of fruits. A 15% discount is applied if you reserve by 11pm the night before.

Access to trails: Easy access to trails for walks in the wood (snowshoes, etc.)

Entertainment: There's a small arcade room with a pool table.

Service: Excellent staff, excellent service.

The not so good:
For the price, I expected the room to be in better condition (see photos). The carpet was stained at several places; the taps in the washroom were reserved with the cold water tap very hard to turn. Our bed linen had holes. We had to call Reception to get a technician turn on the pilot (they knew we were coming; why waste our time - the room should have been 100% ready). The door was broken (negligence on the hotel part and the leather chair was ripped - remove it or fix it!)

Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would return - hopefully to a renovated room!)

Room Tip: Make sure you get a renovated room!

We are from London England just spent 4 nights at Le grand lodge the staff couldn't be more friendly and welcoming or helpful , very relaxing well located venue with great shuttles to the ski village and local buses to the centre ville. the spa staff are amazing , pool and hot tub are generous . We went dog sledding with the husky adventures which was a unique never to be forgotten experience . Our friends were married on the rooftop of the hotel in the snow and we can't recommend this hotel more highly . The skiers were well catered for and this place on lac Ouimet must be stunning in the autumn and summer

We just did a day/night/day at Mont Tremblant (more on that in another post) and stayed at the Grand Lodge. A few friends have gone there in summer / fall and were always very happy. Our room was comfortable and had a gas fire place. The fire place and forced air room heating unit proved invaluable in terms of drying out our ski stuff for the next day. The kids played ping pong, pool and went in the pool / hot tub at night. The pool was a good size and the hot tub was huge. The beds were comfortable and we had a good nights rest.

The shuttle to the hill takes maybe 7-10 minutes (didn't actually measure it, but it wasn't a long drive) and went every 1/2 hour on the top and bottom of the clock. They have a secured ski locker room a short walk from where the shuttle drops you off. They also have a large room to hold your suitcases when you check out on a ski day (we also used it our first day when we dropped off in at 9am).

Although being on the hill might be a bit more convenient, this was certainly a good alternative and I suspect a lot quieter. The staff was helpful and efficient. We'd definitely return.

This was my first trip to Mont-Tremblant and was a good experience. The hotel is a bit of a drive away from the ski areas but the hotel had a shuttle that dropped you off and picked you up at the bottom of the ski hills. The hotel is big old log cabin building. Fire places are spread throughout the common areas with comfortable chairs to sit and relax at the end of the day. The rooms were large with a fire place and bar fridge in each room. They were a bit dated and the beds weren't the greatest but we sleep well. We only ate once at the hotel since we found the prices to be a bit high and we just didn't have the appetite for a five course meal. The buffet breakfast that we did eat there was wonderful with an omelette, crepe and waffle station. The pool, hot tub, and sauna were all good sizes and clean. We didn't use the spa services at the hotel because we choose to go to the Scandinavian Spa down the road. I was most impressed by the staff though! Moments after checking into our room we were greeted with champagne and truffles. The staff at the front desk was friendly and eager to help us organize activities and find great places to eat. Overall, everyone was very professional. The staff really made an OK hotel into a wonderful experience.
