“Perfect Property for a Romantic Get-Away”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 December 2010

We spent Thanksgiving (US) here and skied opening day at Mont Tremblant. The staff was incredible-polite, not arrogant, and helpful when we had a lot of questions. The gondola to the top of the village goes right over the hotel. I waved to my husband, cocktail in hand, on his way to his ski lesson. We had the fireplace on the whole time. I cooked an entire Thanksgiving meal (turkey included) in the somewhat small kitchen without a problem. My only complaint with the room is that the bathroom is small and we could hear our neighbors a few times. The door leading to the bedroom from the bathroom kept hitting the closet so we just kept it closed and used the bedroom door. The beds and pillows were perfect and we slept like rocks. The breakfast was pretty good- one morning they seemed to be out of a lot of things but the rest of the days it was great. You can buy lift tickets directly from the hotel and the staff was excellent in recommending restaurants/bars and calling the hotel casino. I think this is the perfect place to vacation if you have a big group that likes to party (bars are within walking distance), families that want to ski, or couples looking for a mountain getaway.

Friendly staff, nice accommodation. We had a one bed room unit with two double beds. This worked well for our family of four with two young children. The kitchen was well stocked. Liked the central location, being close to fine restaurants, cabriolet lift, and skating. La Source Aquatic Centre is right behind the hotel. The breakfast was so so. They could do better with some changes of items on a daily basis. The fan for heating in the bed room was too loud. The in-room fireplace is a real one which could be a plus or minus for people. You can buy chemical logs at the front desk. Overall, enjoyed our 3-night stay.

The location cannot be better. You have restaurants and shops just outside your door.

Parking is extremely convenient underneath the building so that you don't have to carry your luggage from the main parking lot.

The staff is extremely accommodating to an elightening experience at the resort. The only issue I had is with the breakfast staff person (lady). She is quite rude, abrupt and commandeering. She practically 'ordered me" to close an egg chafing dish that I didn't even open in the first place. She takes the plates out in front of you the second you are done (and not in an efficient way). Obviously, she takes no pride in her job and does not have an ounce of customer service acumen. That sort of soured my otherwise relaxing experience.

We stayed here for 1 night and had a comfortable room. We had a nice view overlooking the pool area.
We arrived at 3:45 and were told our room wouldn't be ready for awhile. The person who waited on us was rude and didn't apoligize that the room wasn't ready. We had been drivng for 7 plus hours to get there so it wasn't what we wanted to hear.
We used the small pool but it was very crowded and there wasn't anywhere to sit.
Breakfast was free and good.
The room was well appointed and had everything we needed.
I was glad to check it out ,but was also glad that we had a reservation further up the mountain at a similar hotel with a far more welcoming reception area.

We found the Residence Inn to be comfortable and more than adequate accommodation for our 1 night stay in Mont Tremblant. The rooms are a good size and beds very comfortable. The hotel is located towards the base of the village area. Good value. Breakfast had lots of choices including waffles, sausages, scrambled eggs etc.

Quite frankly I was expecting something a bit better for $250 a night. The room was much smaller than I expected. There is free WiFi however there was no signal on the 3rd floor, so I had to sit in the lobby to use the internet. The room had a fireplace but no logs were provided. The swimming pool is tiny -- you can't actually swim in it, just have a soak. The so-called snaks consisted of hot dogs and chips. Breakfast was ok but nothing like what you get in Europe or Asia.

Quite disappointed with this place.

I am so glad I chose the Marriott! Upon arrival the check in was quick and the gentleman was kind and everything was ready for us, except the room...so he offered to keep our luggage in safekeeping for about an hour. Antony is so kind. He locked up our suitcases and helped us later on. The rooms are really nice and clean. The washroom a little on the small side, but the balcony overlooking the pool was nice to have. The kitchen is fully equipped and spacious. We did cook twice because the resort is so expensive. We had three teens and of course it can be pricey. The pool is clean and nice, although small. A lifeguard is on duty until 8p.m. daily. The breakfast buffet and snack from 4-5 p.m. were excellent. The managers are in there helping out. The servers and waitresses work very hard to keep the food replenished. It is a zoo after 9 a.m. yes, but I would go down around 9;30 and walk right in. There is always food until 10. The snack is different everyday and sure is nice and fresh. Once again - a real line up....but a nice touch from the hotel. The hotel is in the perfect location in the center of the resort-close to everything. I loved it here. My kids also loved Mt. Tremblant. The gondola is in front of the hotel and so convenient to access the town above. All in all, the service, hospitality, rooms, pool, food, location and amenities of this hotel are superb. Why pay for the Fairmont? This hotel has parking for 10 bucks a day and in and out priviledges. We never used our car once. It is a pedestrian village- no need to use cars. Do visit the casino. It is a year old and free shuttle from the front door- to front door of casino. Lost my shirt there , but had fun. The road is windy coming up , so take gravol. Once you arrive- enjoy! They all speak french, so brush up on it. You will have a great vacation. We sure did. 5 days was just perfect...oh, and bring lots of mula...it is very expensive !
