“Mediocre hotel for the price”
Reviewed 19 March 2014

This is our 2nd visit to Mont-Tremblant ski resort and our 1st time at the Loge de la Montagne. It is the 2nd best location in the pedestrian village, a 2 mins walk to the main Gondola, with ski in/out available. That said, the price is nearly identical to Sommet des Neiges which is the BEST location in the village, at the bottom of the Gondola. So consider that before booking.

The room:

We had a 1 bedroom suite with kitchen and livingroom. The furniture is old and although functional, it needs a refresh (couch seat cushoins don't match back cushions etc). Stains were visible on the sofabed, carpet and smelled a little "funny". Bed were okay, we slept well but don't expect high-end bedding and comfort. This unit was well appointed with all the kitchen utensils and amenities you need but NO WASHER/DRYER for clothes, which are available in other hotels in the village for similar pricing. Again for the same price, Sommet des Neiges was a larger unit, with much newer furniture and much cleaner overall. Also had washer/dryer machines in the unti.

The hot tubs were not so clean either but being March break, you have to expect it I guess. We found pieces of "skin fat" rolling atop the water and later on, some of that same stuff on my son's back when he exited the hot tub. Not so great.

Internet is decent and free, TV was decent and although we speak french, we found that it lacks a good selection of English channels.

Overall okay at best but we will not book there again. Our previous experience was equal in price (31$ difference) and was so much better.

Final note: The staff was very helpful and friendly and the check-in/out process was very smooth, took less than 5 mins and that, in the midst of March break.

Room Tip: As always, avoid rooms near elevators. Otherwise no particular advice.

My boyfriend and I stayed Feb. 19-23, 2014. This was our first trip to Tremblant and we enjoyed it immensely.

LOCATION - The location of this hotel was FANTASTIC - really was. Right near the top of the village and very easy ski in/ski out. You can walk everywhere in the village and don't need a car once you arrive, if you don't want. You really can not beat the location of this hotel for skiing and activities in the village. Also, ski lockers are great- and free.

ROOMS - We stayed in a studio queen. Nice size living area with kitchenette, decent bed (not the most comfortable, but fine). Furnishings are a bit dated and worn but everything was clean and fresh. Only complaints - the balcony was unusable and I was told we had a "jet tub" in our room which was not the case.

NOISE - It does seem this is a popular hotel for groups of teenagers / college kids. The first 2 days we were there, there was a LARGE group of teens staying there and it was slightly annoying - running up the halls, yelling between rooms, etc. - not so bad that I wanted to complain. However, whoever was in "charge" of the teens should have put a stop to this behavior.

OTHER - Staff was very nice and helpful. My boyfriend got sick while we were there and they spent a good 15 minutes helping us find a pharmacy. If you plan to make food in your kitchenette, stop at a grocery on the way into Tremblant. There is not a good place to shop in the village. But plenty of great restaurants and shopping there.

Would definitely recommend to a friend!

Location is great, rooms are clean and in good order. Staff is very friendly and helpful. 2 complaints - (1) no food on site. Yes, there are lots of places in the village but if you fly in by Porter like I did there is no where to buy food for breakfast so you're forced to eat at the very pricy restaurants within the village. Would be nice to have the option to get some breakfast at the hotel. (2) the hotel attracts large groups of kids (18 year olds) and families. The corridors in the hotel are very long and therefore very noisy. Kids come to party for the weekend which is fine but when the doors to the suites are open it's very noisy for others. Same problem with young children running up and down the hallways.

When we travel location is extremely important. This hotel was affordable, whe still being incredibly close to the base of the ski hill. We had a studio queen room. very comfortable bed, spacious bathroom, and a great kitchenette with eveything you need if you want to cook in your room. It wasn't the quietest hotel we ever stayed in, but this was the first hotel we stayed in where people walked the hallways wearing ski or snowbiard boots:-) we were not overly bothered by the noise. Front desk staff was polite and helpful. Nice oytdoor and indoor hot tub, and not overly busy during the times we went. Overall, we enjoy this hotel and will stay there during our next visit to Tremblant.

I've been coming to this hotel for many years and will continue to in the future. The hotel is extremely conveniently located near the top of the village and provides full ski-in/ski-out access. It's amenities of both an indoor and outdoor hottub, as well as exercise room and sauna allow for great options to both warm up to your ski day and relax to.

The front of house staff are extremely personable and go above and beyond their call of duty to ensure each and every guest has a memorable experience. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Tremblant.

Myself and my girlfriend have been coming to this lodge for many years now. We booked our selves for one week in a studio room. Unfortunately we had a bunch of noisy teen age groups come in and stay the floor above us and our same floor. We had mention to the front desk that there was a lot of loud music and banging on the floor coming from above us. Within minutes the problem was solved the music was shut off and the banging was down to a minimum. The other issue was the teenage groups where commandeering the hot tubs. It was very difficult to relax in them after a day of skiing. You can't blame the teenage groups, they are there to have fun as well. Just not the same type of fun as what we were looking at doing. After having a short word with the hotel management they had quickly rectified the problem and upgraded us to a one bedroom suite in the next building up from them. The upgraded room we received was far superior to the room that we had been staying in. Thank you so much to the management of this lodge for saving our vacation we plan on coming back many many years to come.

We booked at the Lodge de la Montagne because of the proximity to the hill and because many reviewers have said great things about the hotel. Unfortunately we only stayed a short while as when we entered our floor, we were greeted by loud spring breakers and the smell of alcohol. Since we were travelling with a toddler (who goes to bed at 8pm), we felt that we wouldn't have a good time - and really the spring breakers probably don't want a crying toddler neighbour either :-) The receptionist downstairs was fantastic and able to get us a room in the hotel next door for a great rate since the hotel did not have any other rooms.

The room (1 bedroom condo) was very spacious. A little older, but everything looked fine. The bed was comfy! The living room had a large TV and a gas fireplace.
