Huo Cuisine Chinoise had just opened prior to our return to Lac Mercier. (Mont Tremblant.) The executive chef, Julie, had previously worked at Milly's in Lac Mercier and still retains ties to that establishment.
We cannot comment on the liquor/wine offerings at Huo, because when we visited the establishment, it was still waiting approval of their liquour liscence application. Regardless, we found Huo to be a restaurant with tremendous potential.
Our waiter, Matthew, who we have had serve us in years past at Milly's, was, as usual superb. His advice on menu selections was excellent. Our meal was outstanding.
One of the things we always appreciate about Chef Julie and the wait staff (Matthew) is that they are always willing and able to accomodate "off the menu" requests.
We should note that the "sampler platter" was excellent. Additionally, our General Tao's chicken and Crispy Shrimp main courses were very good.
Huo will be, in a very short time, a superb restaurant. As it is, it is excellent: wonderful and plentiful food. We recommend it without reservation.
