“Lovely hotel”

We stayed there for our wedding anniversary in a bottom floor unit. Looking over the mirror lake and near the path. It was really nice and very spacious. We had a continental breakfast I. The small lobby that was very nice. Lots of choice.

This is the third time we have stayed at Ermitage as we had a great experience the first two times and were looking forward to returning. Although the value this hotel offers is great (free beach and gondola, breakfast, tennis lesson, etc..) there are some things you should know before you book

1) Your in a room lottery- All the layouts are different. Luck of the draw and you can be in a spacious, bright, and well laid out room or a tight, dark, and poorly laid out room which does effect your perception of the hotel. We got a basement room this time and were not impressed. We asked for a lake facing room and this did not happen. Last time we got moved from a basement room to a second floor room which was much better. This time the hotel was full so no luck moving. Our experience so far shows 2nd and third floor are the best.

2) One bedroom suites have a kitchenette not a full kitchen like most other hotels in tremblant. The kitchenette is tiny and poorly laid out with the cutlery stashed on the other side of the room.

3) Customer service was poor- We found a genuine lack in interest from front desk associates to address our needs such as towels, room situation, map questions, etc.. over the 5 days we were there. We dealt with 4 different people and were not impressed. We did not feel like they were putting guests needs first. . We contacted hotel management and got no response which was disappointing as returning guests.

4) Housekeeping- If you were not out of your room by 10am (do not disturb sign removed) you got a note on your door saying your room will not be serviced unless you contact them. This is a vacation right??? One day we were also out from 9am until 130pm and returned to find our room unserviced. We just started making lunch and then got a knock on the door from housekeeping to clean our room. We told them we would like to finish lunch at this point if they could come back in an hour. We got attitude from this individual who stormed off.

We came into our stay with high expectations based on previous experience at this hotel and were disappointed. The pros still exist including great value for money, good location, quiet, and clean. Overall we still think this is a good hotel option and with a few key tweaks can return to a much higher standard. In the meantime we are open to trying other options in the future.

Room Tip: Floors 2-4. Avoid basement or main level (loud with breakfast and traffic)

Very nice hotel at bottom of hill in the main village. Will stay again in August for a Porsche track day. Free breakfast was basic but nice. Staff were friendly. Parking is extra but convenient. Close to many restaurants.

All other reviews are very accurate, thank you Trip Advisor Reviewers.

We just got back from a few days at Mont Tremblant. Arrived after the blues festival, left before the Ironman. We decided to check it out for a potential ski trip this winter.

Location - Quiet. It is a part of the village but one building away from being in the village. In the winter, that extra few meters might be annoying considering it is at the lower end of the village. The ducks regularly come up to the back patio for hand outs. There was a deer in the area that also came for a visit. There are multiple play structures around the hotel for kids.

Room - We were in 316. Smallest room available but okay for us. Clean and efficient, we had a lake view that was very pleasant. The smokers use the back patio so the smoke was a bit of an issue for us. Best part of the room was the kitchenette - after a couple days away from home, it was great to have a non-restaurant meal with lots of fresh veg. The kitchenette had a coffee maker, kettle, small sink, microwave, two element stove, bar fidge and lots of utensils, including plates/bowls/cutting board/pitcher for water and best of all salt/pepper grinder. Bed was comfortable, the sofa bed is a sofa bed. Only issue with the room - no safe in the room. Security is not really a concern but it is nice to know that any cash, keys, electronics can be locked away.

Cold buffet breakfast is included and is great! We had lots of fresh fruit, breads, cold boiled eggs, ham, cereal, instant oatmeal and cheeses. They had brewed coffee all day and a coffee machine - My wife loves coffee and she didn't need a Starbucks visit during this leg of our trip. The breakfast area/lobby is small so they seem to have no issue with people taking food to your room.

Service - They were nice at the front desk and housekeeping left us a very nice note.

Pool and Hot Tub - Small but pleasant. This is a smaller hotel and therefore, the pool and hot (well, just warm) tub were sufficient. Pool closed at 8pm, hot tub closed at 10pm. The exercise room was only a few machines and we think they were broken. In the summer, it is easier to just step outside and go for a walk.

Value - Pretty good value for a four star hotel.

Some thoughts for improvement:
- I suggest they show a movie/video for the kids in the conference room, starting at say 9pm.
- I suggest they use the kids play room for something else, ie. internet room
- I suggest they install a TV in the main lobby for guests to hang out, outside of their room.

Overall, very enjoyable stay!

Some thoughts on other hotels. We had planned on staying at the Residence Inn but glad we didn't. The village chair lift goes right over that hotel, its pool and hot tub. The Kandahar looked good but they were still doing repairs. I think they might be complete now but workmen were doing some sort of repairs when we passed by. Fairmont - I like the chain but the Ermitage offered better value.

Stayed here with my wife while attending a driving event at Le Circuit Mont Tremblant. We had a 1 bedroom suite which had plenty of room, a useful kitchenette and nice appointments. Complimentary WIFI worked well, but there was no desk from which to work, which meant using the dining table. The hotel offered a nice breakfast buffet and is located at the bottom of the hill, just off the main walking area in the ski village (quiet and less congested). Indoor parking is available right under the building for an additional fee. My wife poked around the village while I was driving, and she found it convenient to use the Cabriolet (ski lift) to the top of the hill and then walk down to visit the shops. There are many restaurants in the village, and we enjoyed the concerts during the free Blues Festival.

Stayed a night in the middle of May for a gateway. Booked a Deluxe room for only few dollars more. Front desk staff greet me with my last name once I walked in (low season booking) and informed me that I can park a outside in the village instead of paying $15 to park my car at the hotel underground. They also guided me through to the spa and other locations through out the village. Breakfast is literally all you can order and they will deliver to your room at the time you specific (low season).

I enjoyed my stay, both my gf and I are very satisfied with this hotel.

First time visiting Tremblant in the summer, usually only there in the winter season. The Ermitage Du Lac is a great place to stay, very friendly, perfect location to access beach/tennis/pedestrian village.....

Room Tip: Ask for a lake view
