“Could be a good hotel, but just keeps failing to impress”
Reviewed 7 March 2014

The hotel has a wonderful location in the in the main part of the resort, with quick and easy access to the restaurants and ski areas. The hotel good be extremely good, but just continually failed to impress.

We stayed in Tour 2. The decor of both the room and the communal areas was tired, with an 80's feel to it. In some areas the wallpaper was noticeably peeling, wooden skirting boards were noticeable chipped, and the wallpaper had big gouges in places.

The hotel certainly makes you aware that you are in French speaking Canada. The notices in French are always easy to read. However, some of the notices, and some important ones at that, have the detail in English in very small letters, less than one-third of the typeface size of the equivalent details in French. If you don't speak French it is very easy to get caught out.

Some of the staff are wonderfully helpful, friendly, warm and welcoming. However, for every pleasant member of staff we found two that were lacking.

Asking reception for assistance is a hit and miss affair. If they say they will ring you back with the answer, don't hold your breath. Two out of three occasions calls were not returned.

Housekeeping left a lot to be desired. During a seven night stay housekeeping only visited twice, and only after complaints to the manager. Apparently this was our fault due to the notice that was on the door. On at least one occasion the housekeeping staff had been into our room and put a notice on the door, apparently justifying not cleaning and re-stocking the room.

Select the green option and housekeeping does nothing, not even check you have enough toilet rolls.

The attached cafe is overpriced and staffed by miserable staff. Five visits, seven employees, not one smile, even though I smiled when I asked for anything at the counter. Service is slow, and whilst the cakes are good, the sandwiches and breakfast are dreadful.

The hotel is not quiet and other guests can easily be heard moving around.

The ski lockers are a little on the dated side

Overall the hotel is overpriced for what it offers and should be avoided.

Stayed here in mid February, and I must say I didn't have many complaints. Yes, the lobby is old and could use an update, however it wasn't dirty. I also agree with some of the other reviews of lighting, they either need more lights or brighter lights, as the room is poorly lit. The key to our room worked sometimes, so you had to kind of play with the doorknob a little for it to work, but the other key worked fine all the time (and we made sure to keep the key away from our cell phones). The shower was also a little problem, because the water liked to change from hot to cold on its own. It was a little loud in the morning (we were in room 212) but otherwise, no noise during the night. Plus I'm a light sleeper, so that could be it. On the other hand, their kitchen was fully functional, we cooked or own dinner 2 of the 4 nights we stayed and we made breakfast every morning. We don't usually use room service, so it was a welcome surprise to see a sign we can put on the door (instead of do not disturb) that said "we are in" which was a sign stating we do not want room service today. If you put up that sign at night before you go to sleep, $5 is taken off your bill each night. The reception desk was very friendly. The hot tub was clean, and while we were in there, someone came out to take the trash and asked if everyone was finished with their beers (although there is a sign no one should bring beverages to the hot tub). The location is VERY convenient. As soon as you leave the equipment room entrance, the cabriolet to the mountain base is right there. Overall, I wouldn't mind staying here again.

The hotel is great if you are out to be close to the mountain but besides that it is a fail for me. The hotel does not have a restaurant besides a VERY overpriced café. Two coffees were 9 dollars and to be honest it wasn't that good. No breakfast to be had anywhere. The room was average. The hot tub was old and poorly maintained. In fact it was pretty dirty. Cigarette butts and beer caps around the tub that remained there our entire 4 day stay. Some of the time the hot tub didn't even work. Overall disappointed and will not be returning.

we have stayed here 3 times now and it's always very nice.

the location is awesome as you can ski right to the entrance of the resort. they have lockers at the entrance which you can only access with your room key. very convenient!

our room we had this time was 387! it was perfect....very clean and yes they are a bit dated....it fully equipped with plates, glasses, cutlery, coffee maker, fridge, toaster etc! awesome to make toast for breaky and make drinks at night :)

we also got to use the hot tub outside located on the second floor which was perfect after a day on the hills.

when we got to the room, I got a phone call from front desk to ask if everything was good and if we needed anything else. very nice!

I will be staying here again :)

We wanted a hotel in the Tremblant village and chose Tour des Voyageurs because it was the least expensive option available in the village. We were given a room in Tour des Voyaguers II (Room 270, if I remember correctly). The room faced the Cabriolet gondola so it was quick to hop onto the Cabriolet and we had a great view, including of the signature clock tower. We were happy with the room when we arrived, and pleasantly surprised to find that it included a fridge, microwave and sink (we didn't do any research, although I did google to confirm the hotel had a blow dryer). However, like other reviewers, I had issues with the noise. In addition to facing the village, our room was right next to the stairwell and right above the lobby so it was really noisy when I tried to sleep (my boyfriend wasn't bothered by it). I probably went to sleep earlier than most people (between 8:30-9pm), but even towards 11pm, there was still frequent noise from the stairwell. The first night (Friday night), I almost wanted to request a room change for the next day due to the noise but since we were only staying 2 nights I figured I could deal with it. The second night (Saturday night) there was even more noise (people and music) for a longer period (I believe coming from outside). I was eventually able to fall asleep and stay asleep but when you're on vacation and after a tiring day on the slopes, you want to be able to sleep when you want without being disturbed, especially at the prices you're paying. But I guess some of the noise is to be expected when there's a night life. You get access to First Tracks with the hotel booking, but we didn't take advantage of it since we didn't feel like waking up extra early. The hotel has a storage room where you can keep your belongings while you enjoy the day on the slopes after checking out.

My family and just recently booked a room in this hotel, upon our arrival I noticed that the Lobby looked a little shabby, but thought nothing of it. When we opened the door to our condo, our jaws literally dropped from disgust! Patched holes in the walls, burnt carpet, wall stains, broken and chipped furniture old bedding, terribly uncomfortable mattress and much much more! I was devastated that Tremblant/Intrawest rented out such horrid rooms! After asking the front desk for a room switch, when we opened the door to the second condo.... Even Worse!! The smell of dirty carpet mixed with sewage and mildew, etc! You wouldn't even want to remove your shoes thats how bad it was! So unclean it was literally shocking! We left and were completely located elsewhere. I would NEVER recommend anyone to stay here! POINT BLANK.

We visited this hotel during a last minute decision to visit Mont Tremblant in January 2014. The hotel location is great, right by the slopes and the village. Price was very reasonable and the hotel is very clean, friendly staff. The room was a good size, has an older decoration but it adds charm. We didn't have a chance to check hotel amenities i.e. whirpool, etc as we spend most of our time outside. What I enjoyed the most is that I was able to sleep as the room doesn't have those bulky heaters/ac units that can be very noisy! We will be back for sure!
