I had the opportunity to stay for two nights at L'Escale Du Nord this past week while visiting Mont Tremblant for a little ski get away. This bed and breakfast defines what one would experience as the perfect example of countryside calm and warmth. Pulling up you are greeted by a picture perfect entry-way tucked behind lovely trees illuminated whimsically. Each guest room is provided a corresponding parking spot easily accessible and identifiable by corresponding room name. We were met at the entrance by Denis who is an outstanding host who can always predict what it is his guests need even before you will even think about it. Dennis and his wife Veronique reside in this lovely residence. On entering you will find yourself in a warm and welcoming living space. The decor is precious, cozy and quintessential French cottage. There are abundant seating areas, well lit, with a fire place that warms both living spaces providing a truly welcoming room. The tour continues with the Dining space, which lies adjacent to a beautiful deck that looks out into the countryside. There is a Deer feeding area and so waking up to deers sleeping or feasting is all part of the norm. The basement level offers an array of entertainment ranging from game room to movie room to a sauna that leads to the outdoor Jacuzzi which is clean well kept and simply amazing to soak in after a long day of skiing. The upper level houses the rooms, each unique and with their own en-suite bathrooms. Our room was perfect, well lit decorated in the theme of the rest of the home, cozy quiet and had all that we needed. The bathroom is clean well kept with showers that boast new fixtures. There is wifi that works seamlessly through the property. Breakfast was in the main dining area and offered a great opportunity to meet some of the other guests which was really great. The menu is posted on a small chalkboard and the food was great. Denis and his wife were always circulating to make sure we had enough warmed breads, orange juice and coffee. Overall, having travelled extensively around the world and staying at some of the best hotels this experience can best be rated as outstanding. It meets all of what you imagine when you think of a cozy welcoming bread and breakfast experience cared for by the kindest French couple. I would absolutely stay again and would recommend it without reservation to any future guests.
Eric

Room Tip: All of the rooms are unique and configured based on your needs. Check out the images of each room, they are a perfect representation of the actual rooms.

We had such an amazing time at L'Escale du Nord; our experience exceeded all of our expectations. The breakfast was delicious, the home and room were very cozy and the outdoor hot tub provided the perfect end to a day on the slopes. I would recommend L'Escale du Nord to anyone visiting the Mont Tremblant area.

I stayed for 2 nights and this b&b made my first trip to tremblant very pleasant. The house is stunning and we were made very welcome by our host. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The amenities are good and breakfast was good and personal. The grounds are lovely and location is very good. Would recommend driving to tremblant so you can see as much as possible. Driving from the home is easy and it's not too far from all parts of tremblant. Thank you for making our visit special. Will definitely recommend and return.

L'escale du Nord is a very, very good place for lodging in the region of Mont-Tremblant. It is very close to most of the attractions and restaurants of the area but still isolated in a quiet and beautiful little forest setting. Denis and Veronique are such friendly and attentive host. You can see they are passionate and loving people. And they're very nice to talk with if you like to get to know your hosts.

The attention to details is the key here. So much thinking goes into the decor, the ambiance and the overall experience. The breakfast is tasty, original and well executed. The atmosphere is one of relaxation, respect and comfort. There is a spa and a sauna, a game room, a movie room and everything you need to entertain yourself. The rooms are clean and beautiful with nice views of the outside.

Overall, a very warm, cozy and fun place for everyone. Thank you Denis and Veronique!

Room Tip: Chamonix was great because you were in the corner, so you had two different views.

Two friends and I recently rode our bicycles on the Le P'Tit Train du Nord and stayed at the Escale du Nord. After riding over 120km in two days, it seemed like an eternity of travelling off the trail for over a kilometer only to be greeted by a long, windy and steep driveway which was almost unbearable until we finally reached the Escale du Nord. An oasis of calm, quiet, tranquility and beauty erased our tired legs and bodies. The forest of brightly coloured autumn leaves, surrounding the log house with a hope of seeing deer made us forget the long trek.
We were greeted by our friendly host, Denis who made us feel welcome and comfortable in his home.
Denis showed us our rooms and then he proceeded to store our bicycles in the garage for safe and dry storage. The rooms were appropriately decorated to match the name of the room and we found them to be immaculately cleaned, with lots of towels and hot water.
Denis was very helpful in ordering a taxi for us to get to the village for dinner as well as calling places for information on a couple of items.
Breakfast was delicious and served in such an artistic manner. The cranberry/raison bread was decadent.
Escale du Nord was like a museum and art gallery with stories to go with all pieces. Denis and Veronique were happy to share information about the history of the items.
A return visit will definitely be on the agenda of future bike ride.

Transportation Tip.....Be prepared to pay about $15 each way for a taxis ride to the village for dinner or shopping.

Room Tip: All rooms have view of trees but try and get the side to observe daily visits by the deer.
