This was our third "girls weekend" at the hotel and it didn't fail to please. This time we were using a Travelzoo coupon at $125 per person per night. We had a suite, with a decadent king bed, spa bathroom, living room with fireplace and kitchenette. We were greeted by a plate of gourmet cheeses, fruit and crackers and a bottle of VQA wine in our rooms.
The young lady working in the spa showed us to our lockers, made sure we had everything we needed and was always available for anything we needed . Our meal was scrumptious and the service was amazing, as usual. We were able to skate off the calories from dinner on the skating rink until 11;00 and fall into bed after a full day. On Sunday, breakfast was included and we were shocked to find that we could order an unlimited amount from the regular menu. The breakfast bill for the six of us was over $250 and it was free. After breakfast, my daughter and I decided to take some snowshoes and get some exercise. , About 25 minutes away from the hotel, I fell through the ice on the lake. My daughter managed to get me out of the water and we made it back to the hotel. I can;t say enough about how well the hotel handled the situation. I don't have the names, but the spa manager, the head of security and the young woman who takes care of the spa and it;s customers at the front line were absolutely amazing. They took my soaked and frozen clothes to dry, gave me a robe and hot blankets, ordered me soup and made me tea. They called the paramedics and never left my side showing genuine concern. I don't blame the hotel at all but it was just an accident. I can't wait for my next opportunity to return to the hotel. It is an experience that is pure class and incredible customer service.

This was our fifth stay, we'll just keep coming back. Nothing different to say about the rooms, they are beautiful, comfortable & clean as usual. Staff were all extremely friendly. Ate at Teca, food was great, as usual.
Only complaint is an issue I've mentioned before - service staff need to be quicker about clearing tables in the lobby and on the patio. It's a very nice hotel, and it takes away when there is garbage and dirty dishes blowing around the seating outside for hours.
Overall, always recommend for a relaxing weekend away.

This was my second time at this resort and I cant say enough good things about it. Such friendly staff in every area, and the food is amazing. The rooms are wonderful!
The only down side of the weekend was when we walked into the spa to see if they had any openings.....we were told no with out being asked what we even wanted or what day of our stay. It was almost as if they couldn't be bothered by us. Aside from the rude spa lady it was great!

Room Tip: Both times I have stayed in the king one bedroom suite

We booked a studio suite for one-night and on arrival we were pleased to learn that we were upgraded to a one-bedroom, King Suite. The suite had a full kitchen, balcony, sofabed and separate room with a bed. 2 TVs and large oversized bathroom. Very nice décor in the rooms. This place has a country, cottage feel, yet at the same time it feels like a five-star resort (best of both worlds). There are two buildings with rooms - the main building and Paignton House closer to the lake. Rooms are almost the same inside (stayed in Paignton House last year). Our room this stay was on the third floor of the main building and everything was within walking distance.

A couple restaurants are located onsite and room service is available. Tip - order from the restaurant in the lobby and pick it up yourself--you will save the 18% + $3.00 'room service' fee for the exact same food. Also room service prices are a bit exaggerated --$16 for pancakes? Come on. Best to bring some groceries and make use of the full service kitchen as the food choices are limited.

The Spa is amazing and has indoor hottubs (outdoor pool and hottub in summer only) and is very nice and quiet compared to the main pool. It costs about $40 to use the spa or its free with one of their services (massage, etc.) Spa pricing is on the higher end ($150 for a 50min massage). Main pool and gym are free and there is also an outdoor pool area an seasonal pool available in the summer months.

Also stayed last year in the summer and there is much more to do when the outdoor pools are open and the lake is accessible this is still a nice place to stay anytime of the year. Would come back for sure.

Room Tip: Ask or pay for a room with a lakeview, its well worth the extra money.

We stayed here to see the fall colors for a long weekend and it was so beautiful we got engaged here! The resort is huge with multiple buildings and pools. The pool was semi-heated but way too cold for the fall months. The room was nicely appointed, huge bathroom, and had a kitchenette. Its definitely a 4 star hotel. We were able to make a few meals and dine in the room. Our room had a great view but we also took advantage of sitting out in the common patio area and enjoying some hot chocolate with frangelico ( it's nice having that kitchen). We played the wii down in the game area and they have other activities which would be good for families. If you have trouble walking, it may be difficult to get around between the different buildings. I would like to go back in the summer to take advantage of the outdoor activities. We might go back for our 1 year anniversary.

Stayed 2 nights beginning December 29, 2013, family of 4 (3 adults, 1 teenager). Was very pleased with the accommodations. We had 2 rooms, adjoining. One room with king bed and the second room with 2 queens. Each room was very well appointed with nice decor, comfortable beds, nice sized bathroom with robes and a kitchenette. The king room also had a gas fireplace and small sitting area. Staff are very polite and helpful throughout the resort. There was nightly entertainment in the main lobby area adjacent the bar/lounge which was a nice treat. Being winter we did not see much of the exterior of the resort and imagine it would be even nicer during warmer weather with many more activities available outdoors. We went for a swim in the indoor/outdoor pool. The hot tub was further away from the main pool area; a bit too far to reach in the cold winter weather so we did not try it. We did try the spa which is a beautful area with it's own hot tub (we were 2 femles in the female only part of the spa. Imagine the male only part also has a hot tub and believe there is also a couples only area within the spa)with an excellent view of Lake Rosseau; would definitely keep the resort in mind for a short weekend spa retreat. We had dinner at Teca, the Italian restaurant at the resort which was good. The staff are very attentive, the restaurant has a nice ambience with an open kitchen and nice decor. The resort offers a wide variety of activities for all ages in any season and we would definitely return for another stay. Probably would choose a different season in order to be able to enjoy the lake and the grounds. It is quite a beautiful area of Ontario and a very beautiful resort. Would definitely recommend this resort.

Room Tip: When reserving, if a lake view is preferred, these rooms are higher in price.

We stayed in a one bedroom King suite for one night in January and wished we had booked a longer trip. We went for a swim in the heated outdoor pool and hot tub. There's something special about swimming outdoors with snow falling all around you, as the day comes to an end and the poolside lights turn on. We had breakfast and lunch at Cottages and had a super spunky waitress who was friendly and attentive and genuinely happy to accommodate minor substitution requests. Dinner was at Teca - the waitress was knowledgable and the food was outstanding.

The room: Gorgeous! We loved our room so much that when we go back we'll likely request the same room. The design and layout were well thought out. We particularly liked the convenient locations for the power outlets in the bedroom which allowed us to plug in our phones and other devices. The room was impeccably clean.

Service: Outstanding. From the moment we pulled up, our bags were carried inside and held until our room was ready, the front desk staff offered to call us when our room was ready, and wait staff in the restaurants were friendly and helpful.

Can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: Our room was on the top floor, corner suite. Since it was winter, we couldn't use the balcony bu...
