We spent one night at the Pelham House B&B while traveling through Nova Scotia. We selected this place based on online reviews. It did not disappoint. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful, and make you feel welcome. They have three cats and a dog, which we enjoyed. The house is decorated in a combination Victorian (downstairs) and mixed Navajo/Western upstairs. The room was perfectly comfortable, with a queen size bed and small arm chair. The en suite bathroom was modern and ultra clean. There was a television in the parlor with limited channels to catch weather or news. For breakfast, we were served oatmeal pancakes and fresh fruit, and of course, coffee and juice. We would definitely recommend the Pelham House.

We stayed in room 1 which is a suite with good beds and an old claw footed tub and a separate shower. Breakfasts were delicious. Location is a block from the center of town. Easy access for out of town attractions.

We only got to stay one night, but it was wonderful. We stayed in the blue room - #4, I believe. Large & comfortable bed, nice bathroom, good views. We loved interacting with Ben, Bill & Queenie the cats, and the golden retriever, too. I was missing my own pets by this point in our trip, so felt better having these to cuddle. Coffee was available early in the morning (this is always a gold-star from me)!, and the breakfast was delicious. The location was really good - on the edge of Lunenburg's charming downtown. It was certainly within walking distance for us, though some might find it a block or two too far. Parking was easy.

Faye was very helpful in our planning out a bicycle ride for the next day, and allowed us back inside afterwards to change clothes. Lunenburg was one place I wish we'd had another day or two to explore. Wonderful little town, with good shopping and good food!

Fay and Michael, hosts of this lovely bed and breakfast have made us return to Lunenburg for four years because of the comfortable bed, fabulous delicious breakfasts, and welcoming faces. We absolutely love this beautifully decorated old Captain's house. There is a little fridge to chill a bottle of wine, with wine glasses nearby. Fay provides granola bar snacks that you can take for a quick bite. Coffee and a selection of teas are available at all times. The towels and bedding are clean. We stayed in the Blue Room which has a little verandah attached overlooking the back yard. We book our room for four nights for the Lunenburg Folk Harbour Festival on the way out the door every year!

My husband and I stayed here one night in July 2006. The owners are laid back, and very accommodating (there was a family staying there who bought fresh lobsters to cook at home--and Fay and Michael gave up their kitchen to them!) The house is Victorian. Our room (Blue Room, back of first floor) was beautifully decorated, and nice bathroom; it poured the whole time we were there, but the room was cozy. Breakfast was very good--eggs, pancakes, fruit. Great location--we were able to walk everywhere. We would stay there again.
