Stayed for two nights at the beginning of September and were not disappointed. We were a party of seven so had the rooms in the house and also in the cottage. The house was lovely and so much character I just loved it!!! Breakfast was delicious and our server was so nice - he gave us advice on the area and nothing was a problem. In the evening we had a meal in the restaurant and it was amazing!!! a member of our party likes plain food and this was catered for without any difficulty very impressive service. Andrea the owner was very welcoming and easy to communicate with a great place to stay.

Really enjoyed the Bluenose - Andrea the proprietor, was charming and the staff so friendly.
Enjoyed drinks in the parlour and on the porch, and dinner in their restaurant was delicious.
So nice to have breakfast included and not have to search for a place first thing !
Liked the fact it is just a few minutes walk from the heart of downtown, so a little quieter.
Nicely decorated and homey feel to the rooms.
Good value !

Room Tip: the coach house was cute and maybe a little quieter

Nice historic, well-situated inn with very good food. However, unruly guests above us, who stomped and shouted until 5am, meant zero sleep. (Off-site) manager - who spoke of prior issues with same guests - offered little comfort, only hollow excuses and a laughably miniscule discount! (We were reasonably leaning toward a more substantive remedy). In summary: A three-star inn with some charm and a good chef, but short on amenities and woefully short on customer service and satisfaction!!!

Lovely Inn, and Andrea was very accommodating, as we were traveling with our 13 yr and 7 yr olds as well. We only were able to stop for the night but we loved every minute. Our room had 2 double beds on the third floor...very quiet with private bath. Enjoyed a nice dinner in the dining room, and wonderful breakfast in the morning. Would have liked a bit more time to enjoy the front patio, and other amenities.

We too enjoyed the first floor room in this wonderful inn. Andrea, the Innkeeper, met us upon arrival and made sure at all times that our needs were met. The location of the Inn is perfect for walking through the town of Lunenburg. The restaurant is very nice and the food was delicious. In addition, the breakfast was included in the price of the room.

There is a nice living room area on the first floor. We were able to relax after a full day of sight seeing. While Andrea greeted new guests, we were able to chat with her children, who had come by to see her. This B&B has an extremely friendly atmosphere. We highly recommend it.

We liked our first floor room very much. It's true that it was a little noisy but that was the only drawback. It was in excellent proximity to the best place in Lunenberg to eat--the Knot- and to the charming waterfront district. The innkeeper was very friendly and told us about the Farmer's Market which was really wonderful. The front porch was a great place for an afternoon cocktail. The room was pretty and clean and comfortable. We never did eat dinner in the on-site restaurant although we heard the food was very good. By this time in our trip, we wanted pub food and less fine dining. The breakfasts were gourmet. Best pancakes and eggs ever.

The lodge is very cute and has a wonderful historical charm to it. It is located right on the main road into downtown Lunenburg and there is plenty of parking nearby. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful; she took at least 10-15 minutes just introducing us to the town and making sure we knew where to go.

However, we found that since we were located on the main road and our room faced that road; it resulted in a lot of noise early in the morning, around 5am. We had the option to close our window however with no A/C, this would have made things very warm.

Overall we would recommend this place, the price was reasonable, everything was fairly clean, easy access to the town and major highways, and the breakfast the decent in the morning (Note: make sure to give them your voucher ahead of ordering).

Room Tip: Choose a room with an en suite and not facing the main road.
