“Beautiful suite and great hosts!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 June 2014

We enjoyed 3 nights here at the beginning of our 3 weeks touring Nova Scotia.
Lunenburg is a lovely town - very steep streets and some beautiful historic buildings .The Addington is one of those buildings- hence steep steps to the front door and several stairs to the rooms! However it's worth the climb!! The Heritage Suite was beautiful - comfortable bed and going to sleep to the sound of the ocean was lovely( a recorded sound on a tiny machine!! )
The sitting room was very comfortable and had a huge TV , a selection of DVD 's ,a fridge .
The bathroom was great with a steam shower - super soft towels too.
The whole house has an amazing collection of art work and has a wonderful homely feeling .
Chris and Dan are great hosts and the breakfasts are superb- probably the best we had in 3 weeks!
Would recommend the Addington and Lunenburg as great places. Just be prepared for stairs as this is a historic building and Lunenburg a Unesco site -- well worth visiting!

Room Tip: All the Suites are super - 2 on upper floor and 2 on third floor.

What a lovely B&B. Chris & Dan are outstanding hosts who deliver a warm welcome and a great breakfast. The view from the Flying Jib room is breath taking. Lunenburg is a brilliant place to explore, you must do the walking tour and eat at the Old Fish Factory.

My husband and I stayed at Addington Arms last summer, based on reviews from Trip Advisor and we were NOT disappointed! We enjoyed it so much we returned this spring and are hoping to visit again this summer! The owners are wonderful, you have privacy while staying there and it does not feel as though you are staying at a private residence - something I really dislike in a b&b!
The rooms are spacious, comfortable and very clean! I loved the steam shower with essential oils! The character of the inn is wonderful and I especially enjoyed the 5' tall windows that open so you can enjoy the salt air and the views of the quaint shops below on the street!
The breakfasts are GOURMET and worth at least $50/couple and that's if you could find a restaurant that would serve such a feast!!!

Room Tip: I love he flying jib!

My husband and I spent our 15th wedding anniversary here and loved it. With a great welcome from our hostess to a fantastic room, breakfast and location. We highly recommend this b&b. We parked our vehicle at the location and was able to spend the day walking the lovely town of Lunenburg. With plenty of shops, restaurants and cafés. We also enjoyed the buggy tour.

My wife and I were traveling through Lunenburg and decided to stay at a B&B last minute. We stumbled upon Addington Arms and had an overall great experience. The room was amazing, the hosts were friendly and the breakfast was delicious. It went above and beyond our expectations and we would recommend it to anyone.

Many have advised on the comfort, beauty, hospitality and food shared at the Addington. I am happy to add my voice to the chorus. Came to it by happenstance in early February, caught Chris by surprise and they treated us like long awaited royalty. Thank you both. It beautiful and a pleasure.

The Addington Arms B&B sits atop 2 fine art galleries and atop the six square block historic district of this UNESCO world heritage site, affording ocean views from all of our suites and room. Shopping, dining and exploring are all just steps outside your front door. We are not your typical B&B but more akin to a boutique hotel, with stocked mini fridges, TV's and en-suite steam-rooms with aroma therapy or an air-jet tub in very spacious surroundings. On-site parking is available as street parking is problematic in the summer months. Our breakfasts are as memorable as the town of Lunenburg itself. ... more   less
