“Perfect Location”

We found this inn to be very clean and comfortable. Due to our late arrival, we were very surprised to find the key to our room in an envelope, with our name on it, sitting on the front desk. My first thought was that these people are very trusting. Our second surprise was to find that we had been upgraded to a king apartment complete with a full kitchen. It was a lovely accommodation and would be very nice for people that are staying for a few days. I was slightly disappointed in that there was no view of the water and I had been looking forward to that. In lieu of the view, we had an enormous room and we were only staying for one night anyway. The hotel is very conveniently situated and we were able to find a parking space on the sidestreet. We had breakfast in the adjoining restaurant and were very satisfied with that as well. All in all, we would definitely stay at this inn again if we were every travelling in the area.

Everywhere we have been in Nova Scotia we have always felt very welcome though these guys excelled. An unexpected bout of food poisoning fromThe Knot laid us low for 24 hours and the whole team could not have been more helpful in helping us to recover.

Once back on our feet the perfect location to explore Lunenburg with a stunning view of the bay

The staff was very friendly and so helpful. They even updated our room without us asking for it. The corner room they gave us was excellent, spacious with a great view of the harbour. Everything was perfect and it made our stay very agreeable. My wife and I would recommend this Inn without any hesitation.

My Aunt & I stayed in the King size apartment on Sept 20-22/13. We were annoyed at the lack of parking, but managed to get a spot right out front of the Inn on the street. Since it was Friday afternoon, we only had to pay a couple of dollars, then the meter was free all weekend.
We loved the room! On the second floor, it had a full kitchen, bright big dining/living/bedroom combo, just like a large studio apartment. It had 3 large windows across the front of it, overlooking the street, and full-sized patio doors on the side. We had a large (shared) water-facing deck, where we enjoyed multiple cups of coffee, and treats from Kate's Sweet Indulgence (short walk, 2 streets up). The railing was high and latticed, so visibility wasn't great, but it was an awesome spot to relax. The room was incredibly clean & fresh, the towels smelled CLEAN, unlike other places I have stayed. The kitchen was well out-fitted, the bed comfy, and great working a/c. Even though we were right on the street, it was extremely quiet by 10pm. We received $3 off breakfast coupons for the downstairs restaurant, but chose to cook breakfast.

I loved the location. We walked everywhere, did not move our vehicle once. I would definitely stay there again, and would recommend it to anyone. I did find it a little pricey, almost $400 for 2 nights, but affordable since we were splitting the cost.

Room Tip: We saw the double room, and although decent, we were so glad we went with the King sized apartment w...

We got in to Lunenburg a little late on Sept 19th 2013, no reservations and a guide book with hotel listings. We were looking at the write up for Smugglers and as we looked up we just happened to be stopped right in front of the place. They had one room left and it had a King bed, exactly what we wanted! I thought this is going to break the bank but I was tired so we were all in. The price was fantastic and we got a slight discount because of the late hour. The room was like an oasis in the middle of the desert! Right downtown, clean and totally comfortable, nicely decorated and just a fantastic place to stay if you're ever in Lunenburg! Five Stars all they way for us! Also included was a $3 per person discount for breakfast next door. Not an exceptional breakfast but it was good, just a breakfast!

Room Tip: Our third floor front facing King room was excellent!

The hotel is located right downtown - easy to walk to the harbor, shops, and restaurants. I had called because we were running later than I'd estimated and we got in even later than my new estimate. Although it was obvious that the woman at the front desk was waiting only for us before leaving for the night, she was very pleasant, answered all our questions, including where to find something to eat as late as we were, and didn't rush us. Our room was huge and clean. The shower was a little small, particularly for my tall husband. The hotel does have character, but not the tiny-room-cutesie-stuff-all-over-the-place kind of character. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent.

On a road trip through Maine New Brunswick to Nova Scotia this hotel was a breath of fresh air after 10 nights of the boring sameness of chain hotels. The room was large with a very comfy bed and spotlessly clean. The decor was modern and quirky and didn't feel like a hotel room at all. The only downside was the size of the bathroom and lack of a bath to soak away the aches and pains of travelling.Having said that it was well designed and the toiletries were excellent. Breakfast was very good for which we were given a $3 discount but the service was very slow. Sadly the restaurant was closed in the evening which was a shame as the menu looked good.
