“Great place to stay”
Reviewed 19 July 2014 via mobile

We stayed here on a get away night together. The desk person both upon arrival and in the morning were great. The room was clean and very spacious. Air conditioner was a little noisy.

Short walk to the waterfront and some very nice dining.

The free sail was excellent and the crew were very nice and informative. You get a acre of The Ovens that you won't get anywhere else. They will also let you help with the sails and drive the boat if you want.

Breakfast in the morning has a nice spread and made to order eggs and bacon along with various continental items to go along with it.

We will be back and highly recommend it to anyone.

Our room was large, clean and the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was the same with two sinks, seperate shower and tub.Despite the power being out because of a tropical storm they still made our breakfast.

Hi Keith and Amanda,

We can't stop thinking about our Awesome Sunset Sail and Stay at the Sail Inn.  We've sailed in Denmark, Hamburg, Costa Rica, Mayan Riviera, Dominican Republic,  Capri, Amalfi Coast, Key West, and Halifax.

All were great experiences, but our Sail last night in Lunenberg Nova Scotia on the Eastern Star with yourselves was Totaly Awesome!  We had a Fantastic time with you and the rest of the passengers.  We never felt more happier and proud to be a Canadian  than yesterday.  Sailing in Lunenberg on the Eastern Star is truly a World Class Experience!

Topping off that Fantastic Sail with a very relaxing stay at the Sail Inn was just what us East Coast Tasting Canuck Road Warriors needed.  We had a super restful sleep and woke to a smorgasbord breakfast made fresh from kitchen to table. It was a Super Chillaxin Breakfast accompanied with great breakfast chats with guests from all over Canada and the world!

Your personal touches made our vacation memories extra special.  We are very thankful for your time and wonderful hospitality!

P.S.  Amanda, next time were head to Cape Bretton on our next road trip, we'll let you know.  Keith, Thanks for having us. See Pics...
Cheers★☆

The room was lovely, all with a view of the harbor. The breakfast was wonderful. The town is a very special experience. What a terrific treat it was to have a 2 hour sail included with the room. Stay there, if you can get a reservation.

We were there at the beginning of June, and really enjoyed the huge rooms (all seem newly refinished) in an old inn. We were on the top floor with great waterfront view, and we couldn't believe how large the room was. The breakfast was superb, with hot and cold food, prepared just as we wanted. We were also given a free 2 hour sailboat trip on a large sailship owned by the B&B. That trip was the highlight of our visit, as we got to help hoist the sails, and had a chance to steer. I had never been on a large sailboat before, and although it is a bit funny feeling when the boat tips so much, it was exciting and exhilarating. Don't miss a chance to stay here!

Room Tip: Ask for rooms on the top floor for a better view.

We spent 3 nights at the Sail Inn and had a great time. The staff are friendly and very helpful, Amanda, Shauna and Captain Keith. I don't know the name of the lovely young lady who made us breakfast but she did a fantastic job. The sail included with your room is well worth it by itself. Wonderful time on the water with Keith and Matt with Eastern Star Charters. Would definitely recommend and would stay again if we come this way again.

Room Tip: Rooms 3 and 4 are on the top floor with the best views of the harbour. We had room 2, the bed was hu...

Great place to stay. Wonderful breakfasts, fantastic staff, incredible town. The 2 hour ride on the sailboat was just icing on the cake. The room was big and gorgeous, and the large bathroom was a bonus. Probably one of the best places I have ever stayed. Loved it.
