“Amazing experience”

We have just returned from a week long stay at Ty Parke. It is a wonderful campsite in a fabulous location. Gary and Annie, the owners, couldn't have been more welcoming. The campsite and the accomodation are spotless and everything you need is provided. We took our two daughters aged 9 and 12 and they absolutely loved it. The campsite is really peaceful and beautifully laid out with lots of paths to explore and it was safe enough for the girls to go and explore without us being worried about their safety. From walks in 'the rough' to kites on the meadow and marshmallows on the camp fire, it gave the girls a chance to experience a much simpler way of life. Evenings were spent in the yurt in front of the woodburner playing scrabble and connect four.
We stayed in 'dingley dell' yurt which is about five hundred metres from the camp facilities. It's a nice walk though and we did have a compost loo behind the yurt so the distance wasn't a problem. There is a great amount of wildlife on the farm - we often had the resident owl swooping around outside the yurt - who my daughter christened 'sandy' and there was a badger set 150 metres away. Bramble the pebble-loving dog was brilliant and really funny.
If you want a holiday away from the hustle and bustle and are looking for some space and tranquility then I would definately recommend Ty Parke.
Thank you, Gary and Annie for a really lovely holiday. We will definately be returning!

Lovely spot with plenty of space, great facilities. We stayed in Dingley Dell Yurt, which had everything we could possibly need. We especially enjoyed laying in bed with the log burner alight when it got dark, and watching the blue tits build their nests. Gary was very friendly and welcoming. We will be returning in the future.

We are heading back at the end of May for our fifth trip; that should probably tell you quite a lot!

This site is for you if you fancy peace and quiet merged with sociable chatter and general friendliness. Open fires mean that summery evenings are spent outside in the fresh (smoky) air, often with children playing in the field centre. Wetter evenings in one of the many local pubs and restaurants, my boys love the atmosphere at The Sloop, but there is no shortage locally, and the pub in Mathry is a treat for lunch. If you are able it's a nice walk from the site (about 3 miles).

By day Pembrokeshire is simply full of places to explaore. family beaches such as White Sands, Broad Haven for rockpooling, Newgale for adventures. If the weather is less kind stroll around St David's Cathedral (although you should visit there in any weather, it is stunning, the little cafe a joy, and the ice cream in St David's itself worth the treat). We often take the boys to Folly Farm, and that's great for smaller children / family groups (ours are teen - six).

The facility block is simply the best of any campsite we have ever visited, and always clean and cared for.

Be realistic: you are visiting and exposed part of Wales, make sure you are kitted out for wet weather as well as fine, and if you have longer hair take a hat or scarf as it can get breezy. But you can also take your hair dryer, there are plug points available, which is handy if you're that way inclined.

Gary and Annie are a joy, and full of information if you need any.

It was as if Gary and Annie had asked us "what would be your perfect camping experience?" and then created it for us in this beautiful part of Wales. Ty Parke could comfortably accommodate more than 100 tents but there are never more than 10 tents pitched on the farmland ensuring peace and quiet and a real sense of getting away from it all in the stunning Pembrokeshire countryside. We loved everything about it........ the secluded pitch, the opportunity to have a campfire, the animals, the enthusiastic approach to recycling and renewable energy and the excellent facilities in the barn. It is tempting to keep Ty Parke a closely guarded secret but it deserves praise and I cannot recommend it highly enough!

Absolutely wonderful 3 night stay. We were in the Ash Tree Yurt which is an absolute work of art. The setting is beautiful, the facilities spot on, and the very feel of the place has certainly left me, my husband and 4 year old eager to return next year (best hurry .....I hear it gets booked very quickly)

Room Tip: Ash Tree Yurt on family pitch ...this was great for us as our son made friends with other children c...

My husband and I had stayed in Ty Parke last year and the year before, and this year we didn't manage to get there. So on a quick trip to Wales, and suffering from Ty Parke withdrawal symptoms, I popped in for a quick one night stay on my own. So lovely - the sun was shining, which helped, and Gary and Annie were as welcoming as ever. As a solo camper, I felt safe and secure. This year, there are no cars allowed on the main camping field, apart from when you're pitching or striking your tent, and it was so peaceful, and safe for the children who played happily in the middle of the field. There are lovely walks around the property, where you can see the little oak trees that were planted a few years getting a little bit bigger every year. Wonderful place for a peaceful and relaxing stay.

Ty Parke is a 52 acre slice of heaven tucked away in an stunning part of Wales, surrounded by beautiful beaches and endless history.

The site is lovingly maintained has everything you'll need for a very relaxed weekend / week. Not to mention that the owners, Gary and Annie, go out of their way to make you feel completely at home. Their entire ethos and approach to looking after their land and customers is unmatched in any other location we've visited.

We'll be back again and again.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Fantastic camping and yurt glamping holidays in the sleepy Pembrokeshire countryside. Nestling in the hidden hamlet of Llanreithan, a few miles from St Davids, Ty Parke Farm Camping was set up by Gary & Annie Loch to provide an alternative camping experience from the packed commercial sites that are an all too common feature of Pembrokeshire. We offer just ten camping pitches on our 52 acre small-holding. Each pitch comes with a campfire and a picnic bench. We have great facilities too. And if you want camping with a little more comfort, we also have four very comfortable yurts, with double beds, futons and wood-burning stoves. If you would like to stay in the school holidays, book early because theses dates are usually gone by the end of January. We hope to see you soon! ... more   less
