I can't recall the name of the hotel part of this place, but we found no fault with anything. The rooms were inexpensive, comfortable and clean. The meals weer a little bit over fancy but of a high sgtandard. we ate in their restaurant on both nights of our stay

Room Tip: As far as we could tell all were of a high standard

My husband and I prefer small bed and breakfasts or lodges when we travel and the Truffle Pig Lodge is a real treasure. It was clean, with a beautiful view and a nice big tub. The room was a decent size and had everything we needed. Trains pass by every so often and were very entertaining, we slept very well and the bed was really comfy.

What really makes this Lodge is the wonderful restaurant with very friendly staff and an amazing menu. Chef Sean uses local foods when possible and everything we ate was just delicious. The main problem I have when traveling is that I have Celiac Disease and need a totally gluten free diet. This was not a problem at Truffle Pigs. The food was fresh, varied and the taste and presentation was like a five star restaurant. The craft beers on tap made my husband happy and the wine list was good. Living in Philadelphia, PA, we are familiar with high quality restaurants and never expected the high standard of Chef Sean in a small town like Field. This place is away from the buses and crowds of people you see at Lake Louise but very accessible to many great hikes.
We stayed three nights and were sad to leave.

We stumbled upon this jewel on our way back from the west coast. We were hungry and thought we would find some little place to grab a quick bite to eat and be on our way.We went into the bistro sat down and we could not believe the menu choices, we were not expecting the varity. After ordering dinner we decieded to stay the night. The meal was fantastic and the walk around town after was breathtaking and so relaxing. My wife was tired so she headed back to the room and I stopped in the pub to try some local beer and the local people made me feel at home very quickly. We are heading back to the west coast again this year and we are planning to stop here again for a great stay

Room Tip: We had a room on the second floor and we did not hear the trains

Upsides - clean, quiet, friendly service, pristine location, fridge, microwave, cool soaps & chocolates, very reasonably priced ($90/night in April), amazing restaurant/pub onsite, small store/restaurant/liquor outlet across the street
Downsides - soft mattress, no hot tub, close to railway tracks

In floor heating = slow to warm up, but stays hot for a long time

We really enjoyed our mountain getaway to Field. Forget the high prices and crowds in Lake Louise. If you live the mountains, great good and a relaxed vibe, do yourself a favor and stay here.

Wow! The atmosphere is so lovely and the view is incredible. The rooms were spotless and just the right temperature! The third night is free is such great advertising. The best thing of all is the attached restaurant. Each dish is creatively beautiful! Keep up the excellent work!

Celebrating my husband's birthday. Nice ski along the Kicking Horse River from Natural Bridge which was recommended by the lodge staff. Our cozy room was clean and stylish with cherry furniture and a comfortable bed. The bathroom is updated and the shower was hot and powerful. Locally made craft soaps and thick, fluffy towels. Dinner at the restaurant was DE-lish! Special was lobster tail with saffron risotto. Pasta with arugula, basil and cashew pesto. A bottle of La Frenz chardonnay. Yum! Live music was by Windborn, an acoustic guitar and cello combo. Perfect to wander upstairs to our comfy room for a great night's sleep. We found everyone helpful and friendly.

Our room was the ideal accommodation for a one night couples getaway. Super cozy, loads of character, clean and had all of the amenities (coffee maker, fridge, microwave etc.) one could ask for. Loved the Truffle Pig touches of soap and pillow chocolates. GREAT dining as well. This place is super cute.
