We stayed there for 3 days October long weekend 2013. We had a what they called a studio unit with a separate bedroom, what they call a kitchen (2 Burners, Sink, and Fridge combo unit), firplace and TV and a filthy BBQ outside. No hooks to hank any of your clothes on or hang up items out of your suitcase, so it was out of suitcase living just like tenting. The bungalows are okay for wilderness living but not as they claim. Our first night had no hot water, and the so said fridge froze all of our vegies, fruit and milk and everything else in the fridge, we caught it before if froze our eggs. The pricing is slightly high for what you get. There has been little or no upkeep on our unit, floor tiles were mostly all loose around the fireplace, drapes do not fit the windows. The house keeper was very kind and helpful. The front desk, when told of our problems said Sorry!!!! I guess it filled them with sorrow telling our story. Lots of firwood for the fireplace included. Lots of privacy bugalows are apart from each other, very good that way.

Room Tip: Not sure about the children activities or Fitness centre. I did not see anything like these two ite...

Stayed for 3 days in a studio unit. It was small but the light paneling and open-beam ceiling gave it a spacious feel.
We appreciated the hard surface floors (no carpeting). To me, carpeting in hotel/motel units is never clean-feeling.
We could open the windows and enjoy the fresh-forest air. If it was too hot or got chilly overnight, there was air-conditioning and baseboard heating.
Well-equipped with lots of fluffy towels and extra towels to take to the pools.
All of the staff was friendly and helpful.
Only criticism is, that in our studio, there were no drawers for clothes and we had to leave everything in our suitcases. I imagine the 1 bedroom units would have a chests of drawers.
There are no telephones in the units, but free wi-fi more than makes up for that.

Room Tip: If you get a unit towards the back of the property, you will hear nothing but silence at night.

Clean, well-equipped, quiet, tasteful, reasonable--can't say enough! Lots of amenities---
fridge, microwave, outdoor grill for cooking, sofa and plush chairs. We were overwhelmed.

(In above five-position review, does far right mean the best? You do not make that clear.
We would vote 5!)

Last August my husband and I spent a wonderful night here. We loved the fact it was not over manicured and left a little wild. The bungalows were not butted up against each other but a fair distance apart give you some privacy.
They provide every Bungalow with a B.B.Q., a wood burning fireplace, a nice outdoor patio set and wood. They also provide pots, pans, plates and just about everything you need to cook and your meals. The bed was comfortable and the room very pleasent.
When we go back that way we will stay there again. Its not cookie cutter or like many other places. I hate places were you open the door to your room and it looks like everyother place you ever stayed at.
So if you are looking for something with a little different and are willing to live in a little cabin like you might have by a lake this is the place for you and me.

This was our second time staying at the bungalows and we will definitely be back again next year! Last year we stayed in cabin #9. This year we stayed in cabin #22, which was much larger than #9. It was a 2 bedroom cabin with 2 queen beds in each, but could have fit two more queen beds in each of the rooms since it was so spacious. I'm sure a larger family could easily fit extra cots in the rooms if need be.
The cabin itself was homey and comfortable, with tons of room to fit up to seven people in the living room and at the dining room table. The decor was not as modern as cabin #9 since I think they were aiming for a country-cottage theme. Perhaps the antiques and rustic wooden furniture is what made some previous reviewers on here think the cabin was in need of repair. It's not. That's the style. The furniture & cabin are perfectly clean, and in good condition.
We loved that the cabin stayed relatively cool all day and evening as well, even when it was 38 degrees outside. It was equipped with an air conditioner but we actually only needed to use it in the late evening.
We also loved the location of this cabin. It is somewhat separated from the other cabins and thus we had a great deal of privacy on our deck & didn't hear any noise when we were inside. It is also the closest cabin to one of the little kids play area. Since we were here last year the kids park has been cleaned up and fixed up, which was nice to see. Clearly the staff take good care of the property.
There are actually two sections of cabins. Cabins 1- 23 are close to the main office, close to the main road, and circle the larger kids park & volleyball net. Cabins 30- 45 are located down the hill from the other cabins. There is also a smaller kids playground near those cabins. They are somewhat more secluded so I imagine they would be quieter (you wouldn't hear the highway noise when sitting on your deck for instance). They also have more wildlife frequenting their section of land. While walking on the path by these cabins I came face to face with a black bear just outside of cabin #32. So, if you stay in cabins 30- 45 be sure to clean up your deck area after a BBQ.
The only minor glitch we encountered during our stay this time was that when we checked in our cabin was only partly cleaned. There was still garbage in the bins, used towels on the floor in the bathroom, and unmade beds. We notified the main office and they sent someone to clean it right away.
We love this place and look forward to returning next year!

The cabins are rustic and renovated, very clean. I have stayed here many times and highly recommend it. What is convenient is that there is cooking utensils and coffee makers in the cabins. I found it to be quiet which is important when your getting away from Calgary . I have stayed in the larger cabins which appeared to be newer and the bathrooms were spacious , very modern. I was impressed with the furniture, it was nice to have a fireplace in the cabin. It is located close to the golf course which was important to me.
