Our family stayed at this resort in September via exchange thru Interval. The resort area is beautiful. Our 1 bedroom condo had more than enough room for our family of 4. The resort offers alot to do for children. Noticed the reviews mentioned alot of kids. We went after labour day and it was very quiet.

We loved being able to go to the hotsprings(2 minutes away) and also use the resort pool on site. Golf course is excellent.

Drawbacks: Only a queen bed in master bedroom. Pool area and fitness area need major upgrading. Lack of staff in dining areas (took 1 hour to get our meals both nights)

If you are looking for a stunning location and lots to do with kids this is a great choice.

  • Liked — location, size of condo
  • Disliked — no king bed, upgrades needed in pool and fitness, very slow dining service

A friend gave us a complimentary 3 night stay in the form of a voucher, where, if you stay you must attend a sales presentation. Please note, the sales presentation was not high pressured. The sales staff are wonderful.

Our villa was in Riverside, overlooking the 18th hole (700 building). We had an A unit, typically the A & B is meant for 8 people, i.e. if you have friends or family staying. However they can be split for separate use. The A unit is bigger and faces the golf course, the B unit does not. Our unit had a master bed with ensuite, a living area with pull out bed/couch, dining area, kitchen, small washroom with shower and access to washer/dryer. I believe this part of the complex is the oldest and due for some refurbishment. The decor is a little outdate now, however it provided everything we needed and was very clean. We spent lots of time on the patio, where we could barbecue and watch the golf. Because the villa faced west it was alot cooler during the day but still pleasantly warm at night and we saw stunning sun sets.

The staff were very courteous throughout, there is ample facilities, i.e. golf, swimming, tennis. However by exploring the area there is a ton of stuff to keep occupied. A drive into Invermere will take you to lots of shops, restuarants etc. The local grocery store is quite expensive, but handy if you're desparate for something.

We loved the place and will definitely be back!

We stayed here a week in February 2006. Farimont itself is small and this hotel (resort??) is pretty much the whole town, which doesn't say much about it! On check-in, we found the staff memebers to be quite rude or just didn't like dealing with the 50 kids that were mulling about the front entrance.

As soon as we got to our room (unfortunetaly, on the bottom floor) - you could hear the kids above us, obviously under ZERO supervision & with complete idiots for parents. They were jumping around on the furniture, running from one unit to the next.

It didn't stop there. Because the walls are so thin & the place is so cheaply built, you could hear people flush toilets, run water, and KIDS horsing around.

We had to phone and complain on 3 different occasions (and we aren't the complaining type!!) & we would have had more complaints, but they just didn't do anything.....which made me believe that it was the "norm" here.
From people running their immensely loud jet bath tubs in the middle of the night, to kids running around with ski boots on & the continuos yelling and screaming.

If you like listening to kids run around & don't like to sit back and relax in peice & quiet - this place is a good choice.
For a young couple wanting a quiet relaxing ski-trip away from the city.....don't waste your time coming here.

We stayed at Fairmont Riverside towers for a few nights and it was TOTALLY worth it. It is VERY family friendly and as mentioned, LOTS of children around. We had out 2 children with us and they loved the whole trip. The suites were like a mini-high end apartment with stainless steel appliances, modern slate flooring, king sized bed in bedroom with featherbed, and a jetted tub. We loved the privacy of our bedroom and laundy facilities. This was so worth it for us to rent. We were NOT expecting this at all! We got our wristbands for the day and went to the kids waterpark area which was amazing. The weather was SO hot in July. We had the roof down on the car the whole trip it was 'that' hot. As well, with children there were several little amusument parks with go-carts and so forth. But the wasps were HORRIBLE. As well, the hotel itself had some bats that were scary (i hate things that fly!!) of course, they don't bother you but one was resting in the corner of our outside patio. We faced the golf course, it was very quiet and a scene to die for. We are interested in buying one of these timeshares now since we had such an amazing time there. If you know of anyone please email us taradee@shaw.ca it was just wonderful trip. It went by too fast tho. But all in all, it shows that it IS a 5-star resort and there is ALOT to do there. It was simply amazing!

We have been vacationing in Fairmont Hot Springs since 1989. We stayed first in the Mountainside Units then at Riverside. Over the years we have brought friends and family with us. They all enjoy the B.C. Rockies experience as much as we do. I'm glad we made this vacation our annual "family tradition", and I'm looking forward to many more relaxing visits.

We stayed at Riverside Fairmont Hot Springs Resort from June 13 through June 20th and had a wonderful vacation. Stayed in room 503 facing the 18th fairway. The activities at this resort were enjoyed by everybody. The staff was helpful and friendly. We visit Calgary/Banff every summer and this was one of our memorable vacations. Would highly recommend this resort.

This resort falsely advertises as a 5 star resort. Our family traded a beautiful timeshare in Tennessee for our honeymoon stay. We visited the smallest unkempt room they could have possibly offered and stayed for 10 minutes before we left. Not a classy resort as advertised, and not worth the drive from lovely Banff. Set your expectations extraordinarily low if you are going to stay here.
