My brother held his wedding at the Wedgewood Manor last month, and while the setting and Manor itself is idyllic, the owner was not an ept host. Should anyone be planning to stay at the Manor, be prepared for eratic behaviour that peaked at abusive from management, and inability to deal with guests and people overall. I will say that the owner tried very hard to recover from her frequent rude outbursts with ad-hoc offerings of fresh lemonade and bread and cheese in the garden. But unending bizarre outbursts, triggered by something as simple as taking one's shoes off on the inside mat as opposed to the veranda, to requesting a snack outside of snack 'time', left everyone feeling uncomfortable and uneasy. For the sake of keeping this tasteful, one of the guests was even answered in profanities when asked if there were any more kebabs left in the kitchen. It should be noted that all food was handled by an outside catering company and paid in advance. Sadly, at the end of the day, the awkwardness the wife of the husband and wife managent team succesfully imbued every situation with was a dark cloud that nearly dampened the monumentous occassion. Needless to say our wedding party was less than 100, not the first wedding to be held there and, only the bride&groom and parents were actually staying at the manor itself.
